Journalists, or some of them at least, were allowed into the Cumbernauld hustings. The event was streamed live as the remaining 8 will be. Out of curiosity were any of the Tory leadership hustings similarly covered? Looking at the state of some of the snp it would be better if they wore masks as well as being behind lock doors. What a croc it is that makes up the snp. One thing that does ring of pure irony, this we identify with the European identity, what European identity, there isn't one. Even if there were once one, it has been long destroyed. It is just a mish mash of globalists.

In lieu of providing effective and clear leadership to address the disintegrating public services, health, education and political policies the current SNP instead choose to use abuse, grievance and accusation to keep themselves in power. However, it works, you only have to see the comments here that their supporters are completely indifferent to their third world lifestyle, as long as there is loud unthinking abuse directed at Englishmen and Conservatives they think the SNP are doing a good job.
Sometime the penny will drop that Westminster are saving them from themselves, binning the Perverts Charter was a start, Ricky is going to sling out the bottle deposit rubbish next week, about time the SNP were put in their place.

Are you not a fan of recycling? Or is this just another knee-jerk reaction to whatever the SNP do?

Christopher Snowdon is a well-known libertarian. "Snowdon is the editor of the Nanny State Index and the author of six books: 'Polemics' (2020), 'Killjoys' (2017), 'Selfishness, Greed and Capitalism' (2015), 'The Art of Suppression' (2011), 'The Spirit Level Delusion' (2010) and 'Velvet Glove, Iron Fist' (2009). He has also written more than a dozen reports for the Institute of Economic Affairs including ‘Drinking, Fast and Slow’, ‘The Proof of the Pudding: Denmark’s Fat Tax Fiasco’, ‘Cheap as Chips’, ‘Sock Puppets’ and ‘Closing Time: Who’s killing the British pub?’." www.christophersnowdon.com/Consider how Snowdon cherry picks his facts: He says: "Parts of the USA, Canada and Australia which have had a DRS in place for many years have recovery rates that are similar to – or lower than – the UK." Now to Wikipedia: Container deposit legislation mandates a refundable deposit on certain types of recyclable beverage containers. Studies show that the recycling rate for beverage containers is vastly increased with a bottle bill. The United States' overall beverage container recycling rate is approximately 33%, while states with container deposit laws have a 70% average rate of beverage container recycling. Michigan's recycling rate of 97% from 1990 to 2008 was the highest in the nation, as is its ten-cent deposit.[2] Studies also show that beverage container legislation has reduced total roadside litter by between 30% and 64% in the states with bottle bills.[3] Proponents of container deposit legislation have pointed to the small financial obligations of the states, as financing these programs are the responsibility of the beverage industry and consumers.[2] Producers are responsible for disposing of returned products, while consumers are responsible for collecting their refunds. In Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, and Massachusetts the courts have ruled that unclaimed deposits are deemed abandoned by the public and are therefore property of the state. These states use this money to fund other environmental programs.[citation needed] In California and Hawaii uncollected deposits are used to cover the administrative costs of the deposit program.[2][4] In Iowa and Oregon the beverage distribution industry keeps the unredeemed deposits.[5][6] Iowa and Oregon's systems are similar and it was found to be highly profitable for beverage distributors in Iowa.[6] Snowdon doesn’t look for any of the positives that are working elsewhere.

Wonder if this guy would say the same about a Muslim Politician - after all Islam has exactly the same position about gay marriage.

He votes against an amendment that would prevent rapists being held in Womens Prisons but we are supposed to believe he is going to advance Womens Rights... Surely even SNP supporters are not that dumb?

I think that we will find out next week when the votes are counted. Or if you can't wait until then you could call Mr Murrell now.
