The reason for Knowsley demonstration was to bring to the attention of the government the fact that the illegal migrants in the hotel were harrassing schoolgirls. This seems to have been lost in the left wing media coverage, who are more interested in claiming that it was a far Right protest. It actually started out as a perfectly peaceful (and legal demo) by Knowsley residents who were worried about the safety of they children. It was disrupted first by the "Care for Calais" action group (who spend their time advising the would be migrants in Calais on what lies to tell when they arrive in England). They mounted a counter-demonstration which caused trouble - and then some group in black arrived and started setting light to police vans. I don't think anyone knows who they were.
But the point is that the original demonstration was legal and peaceful and it was raising valid concerns about the type of people who are coming from France. The liberal Left don't like to talk about it, of course, but these people are mainly muslim and come from countries where women are regarded as second-class citizens (or worse) and non-muslim women/girls are regarded as fair game. So these people were openly propositioning schoolgirls and groups of them were hanging around the girls school watching the girls. People don't like to talk about this - just as the muslim grooming gangs who plague the UK were/are allowed to get away with it. Why do we allow them to get away with it?
We have plenty of examples of what happens when lots of young muslim men are allowed into a country. The latest is Sweden, which used to be a peaceful country until they were invaded by vast numbers of muslims (who Germany invited into Europe). They now have very high rates of gun crime and rape and terrorism is also increasing. Sweden also ignored the problem of muslim immigration and attacked those who warned that it was storing up trouble. Now they can't ignore it. How long before the UK realises that it has the same problem?

I see that Care4Calais and various other "charity" groups and bleeding heart liberals are effectively trying to shut down demonstrations against illegal migrants being moved en masse into hotels across the country. link
They're basically characterising this kind of demonstration as "far Right" and calling for the police to ensure the migrants' safety. "The welfare of asylum seekers in our care is of the utmost importance and we will work with the police to ensure their safety." So basically if your community has been blighted by these potentially very dangerous people you can't even complain about it without being labelled a "bigot". The fact is that the culture of these people (who are mainly muslim) is completely incompatible with any Western culture - as Sweden is finding out. Yet the Left are trying to shut down any debate on the subject - and if anyone tries to have a peaceful and legal demonstration they will arrange to cause trouble by staging a counter demonstration at the same time. This is all part of the Left's determination to prevent any action against dangerous islamic groups. The Shawcross review of the govt's Prevent campaign recently found that 80% of the attention of the Prevent campaign was targeted at the "far Right" and about 20% of the cases investigated were related to Islamists. Yet the number of terrorist incidents attributable to the "far Right" are virtually zero - and include people like Thomas Mair who had no record of political action - while muslim terrorism has led to the deaths of hundreds of people and the injury of many more. In fact the definition of "far Right" has been broadened to such an extent that Jacob Rees-Mogg is included. "Brexit" is in fact regarded as indicator for far Right extremism. Which is completely crazy. If you don't find this extremely worrying there's something wrong with you. Like I said there are people out there who are determined to destroy this country. |

Girls/women are regarded as second-class citizens and non-muslim women are regarded with total contempt. Also children are regarded as fair game too - the "Prophet" himself married a 9 year old. In Rotherham 1400 girls were raped and abused by hundreds of Pakistani men. Wake up prat. |

I was musing about plot lines for the new "Fawlty Towers". One obvious one is where the govt decides to requisition Basil's hotel for "immigrants". That should be good for a lot of laughs. They could have the Immigrants asking Manuel for directions to the nearest girls' school.  I'm sure Cleese would find enough material for several series. |

We can tell that isn't really true. People's opinions generally haven't changed that much since the eighties. The only difference is the media and establishment parties now call people 'far right' for holding those same opinions. Something has gone way off kilter and it has little to do with the slowly left moving and ineffective Tories.

I have no recollection of Multiculturalism ever being proposed as a policy by any government let alone NewLabour who were the ones who started speaking about it as though it had come to pass during their tenure. Large scale immigration does not make Multiculturalism it just makes a bleeding mess of what was existent beforehand. Judging by how it has happened it must be deliberate as opposed to incompetent. |

Despite your probable comeback about spending loads of time in an Islamic country, I find it difficult to believe you've actually done more than holiday in Turkey, or touched down in Dubai yourself...

No I lived in both countries for over a year and it was an education - it radically changed my views on many things. It wasn't all bad - although mainly it was. One benefit of their authoritarian culture is that there is virtually no crime. The deterrent effect of the huge penalties for even minor crime actually do work. We could learn from that. The authorities in the UK "intentionally disregard" the wrongdoings of the immigrants for fear of being accused of racism by the loony Left. And most of the violence comes from the muslims - in the form of terrorism and attacks on people for exercising the right to free speech = for example the teacher who's still in hiding after talking about the Prophet in a lesson.
