So the first idea from this new bunch of idiots is yet another green tax on energy bills - this time to fund hydrogen production. This Net Zero nonsense is going to bankrupt the country. If only we'd gone green before the Ukraine war. We would need the stupid gas at all. Love the way idiots blame electricity prices on renewables when its gas causing the problem.

So, the UK is the 4th greenest country on the planet so what we do now is not actually going to make an iota of difference. Nice to be leading the way for once, its been a very long time. I will tell you what really winds me up, is we spent years getting behind cleaning up the rivers for them to decide they can poison them again because they haven't upkept the infrastructure.

Energy prices are artificially high due to all the green subsidies - with regards to gas, if we used our own then it would be much cheaper than importing from overseas. But unfortunately the green lobby think its more environmentally friendly to import energy rather than use our own..

They wouldn't be very bright would they? when they have had years to build storage.

So? If I walk down the street dropping large amounts of litter does that make it OK for you to drop smaller amounts? The analogy isn't good If dropping smaller amounts of litter on the street might form the difference between us eating and not eating, or being over-powered by another in the chaos, then yes. Indeed. A closer analogy would be standing on a rubbish dump while dropping small amounts of litter and hoping that by stopping you could wish the whole rubbish dump away.
It's a nonsense.

Energy security was sacrificed on the alter of 'going green'.

It was not the green lobby that stopped gas exploration in the UK all those decades ago. It was cheaper easier gas from abroad. Even now idiots are talking of drilling for our own gas 4 miles under the ocean, I wonder how long that idea will last when the Ukraine war is history and international gas prices fall. Then the same idiots will be blaming the government for pushing gas prices up by putting tariffs on imported gas. I say no. Lets bite the bullet and develop green energy so we are permanently self sufficient. No more OPEC Russia crap.

How about I arrive at the rubbish dump with a new compactor furnace and generator. How long before other dumpers are saying hey can we have one of those.

Going green paah. You mean going Tory.

The planet isn't a rubbish tip though, no matter how much the Mammon worshipping polluters want it to be. No amount of harmful pollution is acceptable. You are arguing that it's OK to piss in the swimming pool because everyone else does it. So we are ''only'' the 17th most polluting nation on the planet in terms of CO2 output (not taking into account the CO2 output we outsource to places like China or our historic output since the industrial revolution). That means there are some 180+ nations producing less than us but only 16 producing more. In reality we are in the top 5 countries most responsible for global warming due to being the leading industrial nation for some 150-200 years. We shouldn't just be aiming for net zero we should be aiming for net minus to clean up our CO2 going back to the beginning of the industrial revolution.

Add to that Co2 per person and we drop down the leagues like Acridone Stanley

Erm no, we export it when it is cheap because we have no storage and buy it back in the winter when commodity brokers are making a killing. So in actual fact it is our gas in the first place. Except we would have missed out the middle man by storing it. So that either that makes those in charge crooks or not very bright.

Don't forget to self flagellate daily for having the audacity to invent the modern world. I couldn't be more proud of our inventive history. Its only nowadays that people like you pour scorn on that inventiveness.
