Another issue that Jonksy doesn't understand ^ That USA probably WTO breaching move is bad news for the UK too. We just don't have the muscle to try and do anything about it thanks to Brexit

We just don't have the muscle to try and do anything about it thanks to Brexit This kind of jostling for control happens all the time in the real world. That is why a single country can't ever compete for a foot in the door and has to play the cards dealt by others. And what makes a mockery of any idea of real sovereignty. As for the USA, it won't ever change its global position on fossil fuels either. First, trading is in dollars and secondly because the fossil fuel lobbies in the US are some of the richest and most influential in the world. The EU and the US have always run their automotive industries in parallel. I doubt if the EU feels in any way inferior. It has had American production in its member states for years. Ford pulled out when it had serious financial issues. I suspect the Express is making gold out of straw again. Its position re the EU has always teetered on the edge of truth and makes its money feeding bias confirmation. It is quite sad to see a grown-up spending all his days searching for things to justify something that happened 6 years ago. In fact it seems to be an obsession that needs attention.

Talk about hypocrisy. Incessantly whinging and whining and hanging off the word of every baseless assumption that Brexit is bad for the economy. Whinging and whining about a democratic decision taken 6 years ago. You have a cheek.

My post offered you many opportunities to discuss and debate your current attempt to justify Brexit. It was you who presented the Expressvarticle and I answered the content. Instead of defending your article and discussing its implications you completely ignored it in your reply to me and instantly tried to instigate an attack on a legitimately held opinion, now shared by at least half the population of the UK, not to mention most of the ROW. I do not rise to personal taunts or invitations to childish name calling. There are plenty of others in here who do, unfortunately. The point of a discussion group is to discuss events and political positions, NOT EACH OTHER.
Thank you for your attention.

I pulled you up on your hypocritical stance and personal view of those who support Brexit. Perhaps, start paying attention to what you type before getting on your high horse. Hypocrite.

I repeat.
"I do not rise to personal taunts or invitations to childish name calling. There are plenty of others in here who do, unfortunately."
If you wish to discuss the article Jonksy introduced, I might reply, although I have already done that once.

Buccaneer doesn't want fact based debate on the matter. He repeatedly positions false statements about those he disagrees with and then decides they are the relevant facts.
It all just evidences that he really is deeply worried about how badly Brexit is turning out.

Thankyou.

Your facts are as thin as your whinging about moderation on here.

Steve why are you concerned about what he thinks about you? If you ignore all the personal responses doesn't mean they are right because they ostensibly have the final word. The fact that they have had to ignore the subject and start a personal attack already tells the rest of us two things...that they don't know anything about the subject and that their social skills are non existent. The level of their ability to discuss something as an adult doesn't exist
It takes two to argue. If one ignores it and carries on with the subject, the other just disappears into thin air.
Just ignore personal pointless stuff. They can shout and scream but need a reply to continue. Otherwise they look ridiculous.
Insist on only replying to the subject. They get tired punching at fresh air.

We've done that theory before. It was wrong then and it's wrong now. (Attempted) bullying snowballs
