You have nevere ever worked in aviation or held a stamp, because it is based on honesty and integrity. Who in their right mind would risk a level 1 or worse putting their stamp and signature to anything you have stated....You prove over and over you lack both...Just look at your BS on the rayner thread alone.....And that is just on this forum let alone all the others you infest. And as for no one beleiving me that is their perogative......Funny enough I haven't see anyone jump in and defend you on this thread that you have clearly show you know jack shit about. doth protest too much Is it my fault you wouldn't cut it in the aero industry?...Shame really if it wasn't for your own dishonesty and lack of integrity you seem like an intellegent guy...

Well I only spent nearly 40 years in air systems design and proving, only represented my company on international industry groups, only was asked by the MoD to lead two industry groups for them, only had the word 'director' in my job title several times, only have a mug on my mantelpiece given to me by BAE Systems to recognise my work helping them, only held MoD approved status for signing off air critical systems etc etc
But you know what I never once had to mix muck in all those years like you had to today. I've done it but left that behind before I left my teen years.
You Jonksy are just a bitter individual who thinks nothing of making up false stories and throwing abuse to try and effect some sort of revenge for when your fantasy stories, parroted DM BS and abuse have been exposed for what they are. You could be much better you've show such here and there but time after time that red mist descends on you and you become that foul mouthed fuckwitted loser.

Well, it really doesn't matter.
Bottom line, the B52 upgrade is not going to benefit British based workers directly, unless it brings in British workers to Fairford where the B52s live.

Unlike you who have to try and appel to others for help when you have dug yourself in a whole...

RAF Fairford has benefitted to the tune of £117 million since Dec 7th 2022 investment plus another £46 million on unamed upgrades by the USA including upgrading the runway which was not considered fit for the 185 foot winkspan of the B52 and is cross landing capabilities...
EDIT: BTW most of these upgrades and changes were made by UK contractors and UK employees so indirectly/derctly many in the UK workforce have and are still benfitted...The UK workforce....What a pity a certain so called expert was not aware of the fact..

Is that still a USAF base? I went there in 1959 when I worked for AFEX who ran the PX stores.

EDIT: BTW every time a single American aicraft took off from these bases it wiped off another £180K for the UK's lease lend that we owed the USA....Of course we paid our debt in full years back and it is under a gents aggreement now.

Delusional ^ Whoever it was that you were stalking all their life to be able to assert such certainly was not me. Anyway Jonksy no one has backed your dribbles about certification and no one has backed your lie about me supposedly claiming that RR USa was USA owned. For what was actually originally a minor point you have posted lie after lie, unprovoked abuse after unprovoked abuse and the only thing you've achieved is certainly not good for you. Well done

It's duly noted that the you ignored the fact that UK contractors have benefited to the tune of £117 million plus the extra £46 million as a spin off from the upgrades you knew Jack shit about....LOL How predictable.

Yes I knew USAF bases were actually RAF property but I got the impression that Fairford was still being used by USAF.Have now Googled and it is just one of 13 left out of what was 100 or more, though many of them were relatively small.

Many USAF bases were closed after the fall of the iron curtain.....And with longer range aircraft and mid air refueling we have now there was no need to base them in closer vacinity. Some of the stealth B2 missions can be as long as 40 hours plus.....Of course they are the first generation of Stealth bombers and are lumbering old things comapred to what is being used and developed now...

I was at Lakenheath just before the Iraq war. It was a last minute arrangement to help a mate do an antiques fair following the sudden death of his brother. Security was red hot as ever when there's a potential military threat, I'd seen it in the late fifties at West Drayton when armed guards patrolled the perimeter fence. I remember waiting in the guard room for a USAF mate of mine. I started reading the notice board when a voice bawled out, "Does that pertain to you?". When I realised he was talking to me, I just said, "I'll only know when I've finished reading it." I thought I might spend the night in one of their cells, he was definitely short on humour.

I went to USAF Mildenhall near Lakenheath to watch the take off of Blackbird (SR-72) when it broke the speed record for the journey between London and NewYork.

I think Mildenhall is still USAF and even though it's not listed I suspect it comes under Lakenheath, it's only a spit away.

Yest it is still operational and is the largest USAF TAC airbase in the UK.....I Belive it returned to RAF mildenhall in the mid eightys but still host the USAF.
