Information from Sweden's Vattenfall...
The 28-turbine Irene Vorrink site will be the largest wind farm to date from which blades will be fully recycled or reused. As the blades are taken down, they will be cut into smaller pieces suitable to be transported to the recycling facility.
Norwegian recycling company Gjenkraft AS will use some of the blades to produce recycled fibers, synthetic oils and gas, which could then go on to become skis, snowboards and insulation materials.
Vattenfall has set ambitious targets to recycle at least 50% of all decommissioned turbine blades by 2025, rising to 100% by 2030. Sending blades to landfill has already been banned by the developer, which operates 10 onshore and offshore wind farms in the UK. group.vattenfall.com/uk/newsroom/pressreleases/2022/turning-wind-turbines.....-into-skis-insulation-and-solar-farmsAnyone can set targets - what percentage are they currently recycling?

No you didn't. You can barely spell. And the stuff you post is total crap. 9 million tons of EV batteries dumped. Oh dear. I suffer from dyslexia...I may be word blind but I am far from an idiot...Look it up yourself if you don't beleive me. Some are predicting it will be 11 million tons this coming year....Why don't you just own to the fact that you got srewed over by no more than a bloody infant like bumburgh.
Dyslexia does not make you stupid. Neither do you suffer from it, its not a disease. What makes you stupid is claiming something has already happened when its just a prediction of what might happen. Then claiming you wrote a thesis on it. To deny batteries will be re-used and then link an article saying they will.

It will happily turn when every human is gone, but some of us are hoping for better than 'shit happens' That is what you and your ilk want...Your the one supporting this net zero bollocks.... No, we are the ones trying to keep the planet habitable. You are the ones saying f**k the planet we want our pollution pumping gas guzzlers coz its easier.

So the latest cunning plan is for the Grid to suck your car battery dry overnight - bit of a twat when you jump in it in the morning to go to work.. "For example, electric cars parked in people's driveways could be called upon to send electricity back into the grid when supplies are tight."Ooh how I laughed. Gosh your mind is a nice simple place, must be very peaceful their. For someone who has complained in the past about the lack of sensible arguments and too much personal abuse I congratulate you.. ..who said hypocrisy was dead..

Firstly I would prefer sensible arguments but they are not available on here and even the mods join in the personal insults and vacuous crap. So I go with the flow. Secondly, how on earth do you expect a sensible response to. "So the latest cunning plan is for the Grid to suck your car battery dry overnight - bit of a twat when you jump in it in the morning to go to work.. " Clearly that is not how its going to work.

No carry on - if that is the standard of discussion you wish to have far be it for me to stop you..
I'm only pointing out your hypocrisy when complaining about personal insults and vacuous crap, that you are not shy about posting that yourself.

I never stated it was a desease....Litheum batteries are a total flop for anything bigger that a bloody torch...Even the mighgty GM are surprised how quickly they lose their charge capacity...I have forgot more about batteries than you will ever know. Why do you think they are not used in aviation? I have worked with Saft, Concorde and Primedic battery companies when I worked in aviation. Unlike Nicads Litheum cannot be deep cycled to restore their charge capacity. In the case of Lead acid they can anso be restored to maintain their charrge lead acid batteries can give 200 cycles (based on 100% DOD, to 80% capacity) whereas a deep cycle lithium batteries can achieve over 10 times the amount at 2000 + cycles. I hope that info helps as I could supply much more from just the top of my head.

You jump from number of recharges possible to why I think they can't be used in aircraft in one sentence. Therefore I refer back to your previous lie, that 9 million Electric vehicle batteries have been dumped, when in fact you meant 9 million Electric vehicle batteries might be dumped in the future if no one reuses them. This does not give me confidence in your other claims. And: We switched to lithium batteries because they offer a longer sustained output than lead acid ones. Discharge: Lithium-ion battery reached almost 100% charge and discharge, with even the worst, have 80% of efficiency. On the other hand, Deep-cycle lead acid batteries typically have less than 80% charge-discharge efficiency, and can range from 50% to 95%.

The FACTS are simple litheum batteries are not a viable option for high power usage.....Like I stated even GM are concerend on the rapidity of their failure to respond to a full charge and start to decay from their first charge by around 4% that increases with every charge they receive. In otherwords or laymans terms you have to put more into a litheum battery than you can receive. Maybe you could explain the benefits in that? Because no one else can.

If you genuinely believe the national grid are going to drain your car battery overnight then I'll leave you alone.

It was the construction that made it impossible to answer, it mixed up too many different points. anyway now you have pointed out the salient ones, thank you. Firstly GM may have expressed concern (a link would be nice so I can see what they say) however they have invested $650m in securing Lithium supplies, so they're not that bothered cleantechnica.com/2023/02/14/gm-puts-650-million-into-securing-its-us-lithium-battery-supply-chain/As for the decay in Lithium batteries, you are the expert here. I do remember when the first lithium battery tools came out they deteriorated noticeably, but not so much now. Have they found ways of preventing this decay do you know? I know they wont let you charge your EV to more than 80% or discharge to less than 15% is this part of the solution? There also seems to be a number of companies selling deep cycle lithium batteries, so I'm guessing the issue has improved? I welcome your thoughts.
