FWIW I travelled extensively on business. Sometimes over 400 miles in a day on a single tank. There are plenty of others who did similar trips including my family. An EV just wouldn't hack it. Proven reserves will run in around 50 years. I think maybe, just maybe, I will have shuffled off my mortal coils by then. They also developed a system in garages where you drive in and they swap the battery pack for a charged one.

I read a report a while back that a conservative estimate put the number of petrol heads who watch some form of motor sport either at the venue or on TV each week is 16.5 billion to 17 billion. I cant see any of those rushing out to purchase a bloody lemmon. There are hundreds of people in the USA who make a living for rebuilding or building ICU’s across the globe. Cars are part of the American culture and you would have the same response from the petrol heads as those who are members of the NRA being asked to give up their guns…..It aint gonna happen……….I wish I had kept the link as I am buggered if I can find it now… But here is a link to one of those Americans who are known through out the globe for their knowledge and skill in building ICE’s…… www.youtube.com/@nicksgarage

So governments are accelerating the process by setting a time limit on the sale of petrol vehicles. Only new ones, at least in the UK. I may well still be alive and driving my Volvo.

Cars were superior to horses, but it took decades for the car to completely replace the horse. Problem is we don't have decades to spare while you luddites die out or accept the truth. Completely is an absurd standard - horses are still technically used today The first mass produced car was about 1910 and by 1935 most major cities had switched from being filled with horses and carts, to being filled mostly with cars. So governments are accelerating the process by setting a time limit on the sale of petrol vehicles. Accelerating in this context would mean aiding something that you feel (or see) is already happening (lets say providing infrastructure) - what you are doing is blocking people's options to force what you want to happen. Electric cars have been available for some time now and sluggish take up is due to the fact that they are significantly inferior to their competition.

Good video explaining why EV's are technological dead end and unsuitable for much of the population, but also how they are an attack on the fabric of society.

Get a petrol/diesel vehicle. You can recharge that in 4 minutes - and parking is free while you do it.........So more than 2 hours to shop and 2 hours to charge? Proof that he's thick. Councillor blasts Lidl after he was slapped with 'illogical' £90 fine while charging his electric car for two hours while he did his shopping Max Wilkinson claims there were no obvious signs around the car park The Cheltenham councillor says it is 'illogical' to restrict charging to 90 minutes www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11769261/Councillor-blasts-Lidl-slapped-illogical-90-fine.html

Cars were superior to horses, but it took decades for the car to completely replace the horse. Problem is we don't have decades to spare while you luddites die out or accept the truth. God you're desperate. Horses are not used as vehicles today, they are a leisure activity. And 25 years to get cars into major cities, and that from your cleverly picked MASS PRODUCTION. So how long after MASS PRODUCTION do you think it will take electric cars to get to the same level? And even then government had to help the horse carriages demise by limiting licenses in cities because they were more dangerous than cars. So governments are accelerating the process by setting a time limit on the sale of petrol vehicles. Why? Government accelerated the production of coke production by banning coal in cities. They created an alternative and then banned its noxious predecessor. Another lie. God this is too easy. To argue with someone who never reads up and just lies to win is poor sport. Commercial electric cars have only been around since 2012 less than half the time you claim ICS cars took to get a semi hold. The first electric cars (like the first petrol ones) were not as good, but they have leapt forward and the thing stalling them now is not demand but supply.

Charger blockers are a pain in the arse. They are charging points not parking spaces. Set an alarm on your mobile and go and move it, be considerate. Would you leave your car in front of the pump while you got a sandwich in the petrol station? I bloody hope not.

It's hard to avoid the same conclusion as the chap in Pac's video - that many of the proponents simply don't care about any damages caused to 'little people'. They have found a high horse and they going to ride it around as hard as they can
