Well think it through. The BRI makes travel time manageable between one part of Africa and another. They can get to meet their cousins. But it runs far deeper than that. Africa has been one of the least developed countries and suffered terrible things. Now they have the internet so the buzz is that they want to do this technology thing. They see it as their future and they see the Chinese are nice guys willing to help, and rather benevolent towards the poor. In short they have faith in the Chinese and I believe this will last for as long as the Chinese keep their promises, which I believe they will based on track record. And one more thing, they did not stop building Rome because someone pissed in a river and it got into a newspaper and sullied their reputation. Africans have bigger matters on their minds. Excuse my ignorance but who or what is the BRI ? Belt Road Initiative. is a global infrastructure development strategy adopted by the Chinese government in 2013 to invest in more than 150 countries and international organizations. Hoping to mimic the effects of the original silk road in creating easier routes and new trade around the world.

The thing to bear in mind about that comparison is that the trailers they were using were very small - if the tried that with a normal sized 5th wheel they wouldn't have got out of Denver.

They're not very small, they are normal caravans. 5th wheel trailers are huge and very unusual. The comparison is perfect. Proof that EV's can tow. (Another myth crushed)

As for proof - all it proved was that EV's are useless for towing - you cannot get to the next town let alone the next State..

FFS we ould have told them that years ago....When are they finaly going to admit the full EVs aren't as green as they pretend they are! Plug-in hybrids 'pollute much more than advertised' and should be banned from sale in 2030: Study finds up to THREE TIMES claimed CO2 emissions Transport & Environment and Graz University tested three of the latest PHEVs It found they can emit 3 times the official CO2 emissions with charged batteries With empty batteries they are up to 7 times over their claimed carbon emissions It called for PHEVs to have tax breaks removed and new models banned in 2030 Carbon dioxide emissions from the latest plug-in hybrid vehicles are up three times higher than advertised when their batteries have been fully charged, a green transport think tank has warned today. Transport & Environment said that while plug-in hybrids, known as PHEVs, are being presented as a climate solution and a stepping-stone to full electrification, tests conducted in partnership with Graz University in Austria show that the newest models 'pollute significantly more than claimed on commuter routes'. Additional pollution measurements taken from three of the latest PHEVs found that they can emit up to seven times their advertised carbon dioxide outputs on a typical journey through city centres when their batteries are flat. The environmental group has called for the UK Government to stop providing green tax breaks for PHEVs and ban new models from sale at the same time conventional petrol and diesel cars are removed from showrooms in 2030.

I can assure you that tiny things like that are not common - and as we have seen, even the largest EV's are incapable of towing something as small as that.

The fifth wheel plays a big part in American culture from trailers to horse boxes etc. These EV’s are a frigging expensive joke. Look at the price difference for that EV hummer and the diesel Dodge ram…

Anyway the average suv (petrol or diesel) has a max towing weight of about 3,500lbs. And its nothing to do with engine power, its about kerbside weight. But lets agree that EV's can't tow 5th wheels at the moment. Big deal. You've lost ground on every other criticism, So I guess I can be magnanimous on this one.

EV's are an enviromentle catastrophe and no amount of turd pollishing can hide that fact......And as for EV's towing power forget it, they couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.....Who would spend that ammount of money on a total lemmon the Cost of the pussy pulling hummer was nearly twice as much as the good old and reliable Dodge ram...
