Anyone seen this? Starmer at the WEF telling anyone who will listen how renewables and the green dream will be at the centre of Labour party policy, presumably so the UK can be net-zero by 2030... ...And fuel poverty will be rife half of industry will be closed down or moved to China and the economy will be bankrupt. But at least Starmer will be able to tearfully say, but look how green we are. Nonsense, the green push by Starmer is right, even the Tories are beginning to talk green. Energy will be a big decider on how well the country operates in the near future. They're talking green because there's a lot of school kids indoctrinated into green who will have the vote come the next election; another gerrymandering exercise. Who knows, they may afford some latitude to get those kids to the polling booths, just like happened prior to the referendum as Cameron was running scared.

Well if the extremes of Right and Left both hate him then he's well placed for me.
As far as lying to his party. Really? He has said he will temporarily use private medicine to catch up the backlog from Covid.
Oh my, that's so radical. 🙄

Nonsense, the green push by Starmer is right, even the Tories are beginning to talk green. Energy will be a big decider on how well the country operates in the near future. Correct, and as the supply of affordable and reliable energy becomes increasingly important the government will have a choice: Go 'green' and force us into fuel poverty or issue more licences to extract more north sea gas, and shale gas rather than importing it from the US. Well they wont have a choice as more and more oil companies are scaling back production in the North Sea due to the crippling taxation. They are now at the point where even if the Government say they want more investment they dont believe them. So the future is high energy prices, less industry (as it will all have decamped to more business friendly countries) and fuel poverty for the many - that is the route that the UK have chosen to go down. But apparently feeling virtuous keeps you warm at night..

That claim was comprehensively debunked at the Oxford Union - I recommend you watch the video.

Bollocks, even some oil rich countries see the the writing on the wall and are building holiday homes with the intentions of keeping up income when the inevitable reductions in oil sales begin.

While we in the UK pray for a windy day so that we can use our useless and expensive air source heat pumps to heat our homes the Chinese will be busy building coal and oil fuelled power stations .
