Well Labour did it because they wanted to 'rub the Right's nose in diversity' - and as I have pointed out before, immigration did not grow GDP per capita so we were no better off. Yes ofcourse they did 🙄 And why did the Tories do it? I would have though that fucking obvious - they wanted to support big business (and companies like yours) and keep wages low You were not expecting the Tories to support the working class were you?  |

Yep, we didn't want it but we needed our GDP to grow each year and we weren't having children. The alternative was to pay more tax each. Do tell me why do you think every government bought hundreds of thousands of immigrants in every year? NL brought more EU workers in because the UK had an expanding economy. An expanding economy was good for government income. |
