Why do you suppose Herr Merkel said she wished she could turn the clock back? And ffs, stop cutting & pasting. Clearly you have no idea how the EU works. ...so that you don't confuse facts with your beliefs. That old chestnut, lol. Beliefs and opinions are valid on a political forum that exists for debating beliefs and opinions. By all means post links to evidence that can back up an opinion or refute someone else's. But to suggest that opinions and facts are wholly separate entities when in most cases opinions are based upon perceived facts is misplaced. The fact is that selected facts quoted by different people can be contradictory, and sometimes the same facts can be interpreted in different ways means there there often are no absolute facts.. Yes some people build opinions around nothing more substantial than anecdotes about people they know or stuff they read in dubious sources. We can question the validity of their alleged facts in such cases. But essentially everyone believes that their beliefs ARE facts, and it is up to challengers to argue or demonstrate otherwise. Your own beliefs, for example are not indisputable facts just because you believe them. Neither are mine.

You have a very strong misinformed belief on how the EU works. I cut and past the obvious so that you don't confuse facts with your beliefs. Merkel is like king Canute, she has no magical powers. Hindsight gives a wonderful attacking position for those who wish to attack, but neither you or anyone else has come up with a perfect way of dealing with the deluge of asylum seekers at that time, and have still not found and answer all these years later. It depends on just how far she would turn the clock back if she could. A time before the asylum problem would be good. Australia found a good working solution.

It doesn't appear to be open to the UK, or the EU who were the areas of dispute.

Your own beliefs, for example are not indisputable facts just because you believe them. Neither are mine. IMO, opinions should not be posted as facts. We may all be guilty of that at times but it is fair to point out that opinions are not facts unless they can be backed up by proof. Once pointed out they should be clarified as I have done before today. I often put IMO before posting an opinion. Clearly there is no call for you to attempt to lecture me on this.

Don't know about rule by the working classes, seems that the EU and WEF are making certain that their man is in No10

Don't know about rule by the working classes, seems that the EU and WEF are making certain that their man is in No10 Yeah read that.
just about sums it all up really.
What most of us have been saying, Starmer is the key to rejoining the EU, the door wont be ajar, it will be fully wide open, and any benefits from Brexit making us independent will be lost.
It's clear the EU are struggling without the UK, not just our money but our world influence, they are determined not to let us go.

Don't know about rule by the working classes, seems that the EU and WEF are making certain that their man is in No10 The BBC has decided by both itself and a working class secretary-cum-baronesss who is chairing the independent committee on its future that it should try and be as representative of the people it serves as possible. Because the vast majority of the UK are working class then we have a working class press thinking in the typical way an average Brit thinks. This means we have recitals of scouser poetry, ex-smak addicts explaining how to run a business and all that crazy stuff. This is a purely ideological move. The more moderate and much-loved presenters are being retired off to make room for the thickos.
