I wasn't happy with the idea of a federation either but now we have lost all control over the direction the EU will go. We have ceded power to France and Germany to do as they please. On top we have lost all the benefits of the single market. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. The EU was pushing for more integration, basically, stripping each member state of their governments to have one United States of Europe. Us Brits said fuck off to that. So why did Remoaners want our government to be converted into a local council office and you must be led by Brussels?? They didn't. They wanted to continue fighting it from the inside rather than let the French and Germans have full control. |

Back to sovereignty again. That's all any one's really got isn't it? Despite the fact the only time Parliamentary Supremacy was threatened in any meaningful way was when Boris tried to subvert it by unlawfully proroguing it in an attempt to sneak us out with no deal. Is it though? I recall so many EU foreign kids in schools it was slowing down classes. I recall farmers having in desperation putting transponders on their tractors only to find the police to shrugging their shoulders when it was located in Romania. |

We chose sovereignty, we weren't bothered about membership. No foot shooting, no punishment. We quit the gym and handed the towel back. When we left, we and the EU should have just put tariffs in place, 30% on everything. We buy more off the EU then we sell, they have much more to lose. I have contacts in the German Kitchen business. When Brexit was announced that we were leaving, German kitchen manufacturers were saying many were going bust and closing down because UK orders were drying up. But there's no shortage of kitchens because there's been a switch to UK manufacturers. Back to sovereignty again. That's all any one's really got isn't it? I think they'll take some persuading but money talks. If not back in the EU I think they would take our money to rejoin the single market. |
