Being a conservative party member, I've just being emailed by party chairman Jake Berry. The message was very much in the tone of 'great news' Jeremy Hunt has been appointed as the chancellor, blah blah bullshit bullshit etc. I won't go into my reply, suffice to say this is not great news. It's bad enou gh that Hunt was a useless Health Secretary and is on the left of the party, if th Nd they could do with a few donations.y replace Truss with Sunak I will not vote conservative at the next election. It's not much but it's all I can do. I'm surprised Jake Berry didn't ask you to get a better paid Job to help donate to the Trussonomics blackhole Rackham. Even after the second u-turn,there is still 30bn to find. A better paid job! I'm retired old chap

So Kwartang has been sacked and the CT increase to 25% reinstated to 'calm the markets' And to replace Kwartang we have Hunt whose big pitch during the leadership election was to cut CT to 15%!!!

Just vote Labour guys. Not exactly a fan of Starmer, but I support GB energy and for that alone he is worth a vote. No can do I'm afraid, old chap/chappess/non-binary/gender-fluid person since it's: 1) Against my religion 2) I live in a marginal where Labour are completely irrelevant Not that it matters since I'm financially positioned to benefit from any political/economic outcome.

That's a shame given it is against my religion to vote Tories. Where I live my vote doesn't matter either. But I cannot stand watching Truss Dizzying around bankrupting the country and so I am liking the polls right now and hoping she gets her caesar moment.

The question surely that has to be asked is how someone as incompetent and clearly out of her depth , as dizzie lizzie is , could rise to the highest place in yookay politics? Where are the checks and balances to stop some complete muppet taking the reigns of power ?
Its been telling the amount of quotes coming from tory hq about her.
Wont last. Everyone knows who this is going to end. Nothing between the ears.mountain of ambition piled on a brain the size of a pinhead. So on and so forth.
Its embarressing. Just when you think the yookay cant go any lower , along comes another muppet to set the bar once notch further down.

Oh, my vote very much matters - it's a very marginal area. But don't you worry - Truss will be long gone by the next GE.

The problem for me is as much as I want Truss to go, she needs to be replaced with someone who can deal with the problems of today. Don't care what people think of Sunak, I for one aren't his biggest fan, but he at least understands that if you are going to borrow billions to pay people to sit on their ass, you will have to balance the books.

The point of a marginal is that a relatively few votes can sway the outcome. In this constituency it is of the order of a few hundred votes between winner and loser. It very much matters to the two candidates who have everything to play for and their supporters.

There's nothing wrong with cutting corporation tax, I'd cut it to zero % and replace it with a 50% tax on dividends (and disguised dividends like licence fees) instead. That way profits reinvested in the business would be tax free, profits paid out to parent companies would be taxed big time. But then I actually believe in trying to get growth

Someone I'm listening to has just reminded me that Jeremy Hunt, the very same Jeremy Hunt who today became the second most powerful politician in the country, during the covid pandemic praised China for their lockdown strategy and proposed that people in this country who tested positive should be removed to an isolation centre for a minimum of two weeks. He also says anyone who has a common cold should wear a face mask. And to make matters worse, he's pro EU globalist, and a fuckin lunatic.

Sunak is the best chance the Tories have got!
If Truss goes, they need to install Rishi without twatting about with leadership contests.
Failing that, a General election must be triggered.

He's their best chance! Heaven forbid. A millionaire of global economic orthodoxy who is for high tax and pro-EU. May as well just put Labour in government. At least with Labour we probably wouldn't have the pantomime of changing the PM every couple of months.

Sunak is the choice of the World Economic Forum and the IMF.
Just embrace the new world order and do as you are told..
