As they saying goes ... promises promises promises
No government, political party or Prime Minister can make such bold statements, it's ludicrous, unless they have a magic wand.
The NHS has, and always will be a political dinosaur, successive governments have always used the NHS as a political weapon, maybe one reason it's always failing.
The key to NHS success is removing it from politics, it should not be used in as a political bargaining chip.
Using our NHS as a means to who forms the next government in a GE is a absolute NO NO.

I share the skepticism, but....he can do those things if he does what no government has done for as long as i can remember, and that is take charge.
We are a sovereign nation, we make our own laws, which means i decide, you do it. In times of crisis, and this is one, we need a dictator until such time the reigns can be loosened. Its not only about what needs to be done, thats clear, but how he will cope with sabotage, not only from Labour but from his own party, the Eu, the USA, the Scots the Welsh, and Russia, to name a few.
And passing such laws in parliament. Does he have a plan for that? In war time democracy does not exist, action is decided and acted on....now. If he relies on parliament hes a dead duck, this shows monumental naievity on a monstrous scale, like a school boy placing trust in a gangster.
Thinking it through, this could be the thing that finally nails the Tories, failure in all or even one will signal hell breaking loose.
Does Sunak plan to suspend democracy and take charge,? my admiration for that would be unmeasurable. The answer is no.
This bloke is a complete twit. In retrospect.

Whilst the Tories may be a shabby bunch, with a large majority he should be able to get any legislation needed for any of those promises through.

What have "the left" got to do with it? He's got a large enough majority that their support or opposition is irrelevant.

So your solution is for Sunak to suspend democracy and become a dictator? And you do not think that will bring uproar to the streets? The people will not stand for that. You are thinking like a fascist.

What kind of ridiculous, intellectually challenged answer is that? You have utterly failed to explain what the left have to do with anything when the right has an 80 seat majority. What do you mean by everything? Or don't you actually know?

Is it the left or the right who are holding the country to ransom with strikes?
Is it the left or the right who comes up and uses all this woke bullshit?
Is it the left or the right that practices all pushes for all this diversity bollocks?
Is it MP's from the left or the right who are supporting the twats on strike at the picket lines?
Is that commie bastard Mick Lynch from the left or right side of politics?
Is it the majority of those from the left or the right who are still smarting over brexit?
Is it the left or the right who would have us back into the fucking EU if they had their wqy?
You only have to look on this forum and see the bullshit like the majority want another referendum or who wuld vote remain.

What has any of that got to do with Rishi's five promises or his ability to deliver them?

Why hasn't he been doing something about the problems already? | He's too busy trying to get more immigrants beds in four star hotels. I don't like Sunak, never did. But I'm not blinkered enough to think Covid, the war in Ukraine and the cost of living crisis is the fault of the Tories. The Eurozone is in the same situation, are the Tories to blame for that too? I do however agree that the Tories, with Macron, are to blame for the cross channel illegal migrant crisis. Cameron promised to get a grip of immigration, as did May, Boris and now Sunak. Illegal immigration from France could be stopped, the problem is the government are frightened of upsetting the EU. And where does Starmer stand? What does he think of cross channel illegal immigration, hotels full of illegals, Brexit, the EU, Trade Unions holding the country to ransom, queues at A&E etc etc. Does anyone know? Starmer is noticeably quiet on the big issues and that's because he is terrified of saying anything that may reduce Labour's lead in the polls. Indeed he has told Labour MP's to keep their heads below the parapet even warning them they will be kicked out of the Labour party for criticising of all things, NATO. It seems to me that during the next general election the electorate will not be voting for the best politicians to run the country. They will be voting for the best of the worst. As much as I disagree with the way this and previous conservative governments have done business, I know that within 12 months of a Starmer government we will be looking back and thinking, what the hell have we done.
