What a star that man is.
Personally, I would be inclined to tell all the nurses that if they thought they were underpaid they should see what other jobs were available and if Greggs was still hiring. And these days most of us double check with the internet to see if our doctors are getting their diagnosis from the correct site.
So I reckon the best thing to do would be sack all the doctors and nurses and employ immigrants, legal or otherwise, because they would be cheaper and less inclined to bitch about everything

Well I suppose a promise is something ( except that its a Tory promise )
The despatch box July 2010, and the new Chancellor of the new Tory government makes several promises, predictions and forecasts. One promise is that the deficit would be cleared due to his ( George Osborne s ) policies by the year 2015.
Guess what ?
Not one promise, not one prediction, and not one forecast ever came to fruition, what a suprise from a Tory
Like David Camerons "cast iron guarantee" or Boris Johnsons "40 new hospitals" or the promises to sort out Social Care, or to "easily" get that trade deal with the United States, the £350 Millon per week extra for the NHS.
Anyone can promise to do anything, especially politicians, but more especially Tory ones
If he does fix the NHS, he will be fixing an NHS which he is partly responsible for breaking in the first place.
As Chancellor he was the main man on the economy, why is he promising to put something right which the Tories have had 13 years to do. ?
Wind and Whaff

As yet , all i have seen starmer do is moan about the tories and snp , and sit on their hands doing nothing.
One day , that man and his party will have to offer the voters concrete proposals in an election campaign , and when he does , the rest of us will be waiting to pounce.

For over 13 years Labour have not made a single promise that has been broken, this is because they are not in government making any promises ........ and breaking them.
You cannot compare like for like, the Tories are in power, the mess is theirs, only theirs, and all theirs, together with all their lies and broken promises.

I may be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge Greggs do not require their employees to hold a Bachelors degree and have undertaken three years of intensive training to serve donuts and sausage rolls, whilst also being subject to professional scrutiny from a Statutory Governing Body.

Greggs assumes that their staff have a bit of common sense and don't need three years training to change a bedpan. And I have never waited an hour in a queue at Greggs because the staff have taken that long to realise I am there.
As Carthoris has so rightly pointed out, a major problem with nurses is they are not very bright.

You're funny! Have you thought about doing stand up? My day job would be so much easier if I didn't have to teach anything except how to change a bedpan. I don't know who Carthoris is, but a major problem with people who post unsubstantiated nonsense to score partisan political points on discussion boards is that they are not very bright. NMC standards for pre-registration nursing

In all fairness I think you are confusing a qualified nurse to an HCA .
