Ooooooh, you think I'm the only one to have bad experiences, I'm having one at the moment on a different problem. I was repeatedly lied to over a period of a year, ignored and encountered breathtaking apathy from NHS staff . I had to chase both the surgeons and the clinic persistently . Even sitting next to a nurse and pretty much refusing to move while she tried to contact the clinical team that was on the upper floor in the same hospital . My son in law had the same problem . Yeah, my wife often left young men with aggressive brain tumours to die because it was her tea break. She never did a seventeen hour stint in the neuro surgery department.

It isn't as if I'm a time waster or regularly attending my GP other than routine blood tests twice a year. My wife who has had several problems, once since childhood, hadn't seen a doctor for a year until last week when they wanted to just run a few things by her; as her carer I went along. We saw a listening senior nurse who works for the GP who was excellent and passed Mrs. T with flying colours despite the fact she had kicked all her medication some 5 or 6 years ago. I'm still awaiting a test that was agreed over 3 weeks ago and before that's done they can't prescribe any treatment.

Loads of people have bad experiences, far more recognise how lucky they were to meet my wife and her colleagues. So many people think they are dealing with robots instead of humans. Stop talking shite.

Your missus is a living saint among heroes. Not only that but she’s got you well trained too. Seriously ..your missus isn’t the NHS.

So are very many of our friends and my relations. But don't worry they're well used to stupid patients not understanding their treatment and expecting miraculous cures.

She’s not the nurse telling the domestics that they don’t need masks to go into COVID patients rooms after the patient died. She’s not the nurse that lied to me . …she’s just one of the nurses that make up the numbers . Don’t put her in a pedestal or pretend she represents the NHS. It makes you look silly .

My niece works in the NHS. So what? So what do you want a medal because your missus works in the NHS as a non nurse? How does your missus working in the NHS refute the views of those who had poor to bad experiences as a patient?

Did she work in a hospital and was it for the past 12 years either in special measures or in need of improvement? My GP had two decent doctors, one is unable to work for reasons I don't know, the other returned from holiday with some sort of problem, was admitted to hospital and discharged within 24 hours, he died the same afternoon; both were in their mid-forties.

I’ll repeat this because I have posted this before. I needed a procedure on both legs but the scans were valid for six months. I took a phone call from the hospital to have another scan in a nearby hospital because it would make the treatment sooner. From that point the idiots couldn’t get their act together . The records for my left leg was in one hospital and the records for my right leg was in another ….even though both hospitals were covered by the same team. This farce carried on for two years ( in total 4 years) . In the end a surgeon phoned me to arrange treatment on my left leg but my right leg was far worse and a previous surgeon had promised me to treat my right leg first . Then I had another phone call from the surgeon to tell me that he was prebooked for a clinic on the day he arranged my treatment . Then I had another date set up but it needed a pre treatment test . Then I was ghosted again but travelled 100 fucking miles in my car to the hospital and fronted them out . The clinician who was supposed to deal with me was supposed to be upstairs but the nurses in the floor below couldn’t get her to answer the phone . Turns out BOTH the people who should of been in the office were at home. This is only a part of the shit show tbh. In their defence the treatment was fantastic…and that’s because it was done by professionals. Not time serving incompetent wasters .
