Isn’t that always the case? Whatever money is given extra to these bottomless pits will not end up at the sharp end. I wonder how much the NHS have spent on bigger tits for the vain or those who come to our shores for free medical treatment over the last few years? Probably a tiny fraction of their budget unless you have the evidence to show otherwise. But typical of your unsupported pejorative assumptions. This is not the first time the Tories have tried to make public bodies so bad people begin to think private companies would be better. In the 80's they cut budgets of national water to the point where the service was woeful. Then privatised it and within 2 years increased water bills by 40% to make them run better. Then pointed to the promised improvements as proof privatisation works. |
