Where was this place in the 1980's where kids slashing one another with razors was so common? I'm not suggesting this place didn't exist, but I'm curious to know where... most council estates and football match's there was a park in liverpool that slashing was so common it got the name has stanley park Really ? The local little scumbags grew up and made more scumbags then .

These are teenagers . The oldest one was 17. I don’t remember young teenagers regularly hitting each other over the head with pint glasses or slashing each other with stanley knives , let alone ganging up and stabbing little kids in the 80s . you obviously lived a somewhat sheltered life You obviously lived in shithole if young teenagers were glassing and slashing each other . Although you having brain damage might explain a lot of things .

'Value for Money' tsar linked to string of overspendsThe government's new Value for Money chief has headed up several big projects that went massively over-budget. David Goldstone has previously worked as a top executive on the London Olympics, Parliament's restoration and HS2 high speed rail. He will now head up the government's new Office for Value for Money (OfVM), external, advising Chancellor Rachel Reeves on "how to root out waste and inefficiency", according to the Treasury. Announcing Mr Goldstone's appointment, Reeves said it was "vital that we are driving efficiency and reducing wasteful spending", and he's been paid £50,000 a year, for one day a week! www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1lgpejq85poThis government have not lost the plot. They never had one. i've no info on the worth of David Goldstone, but I see that as of January 1, 2024, the guideline hourly rates for lawyers in London are: Grade A — £546 per hour for solicitors and legal executives with more than eight years of experience. Grade B — £371 per hour for solicitors and legal executives with more than four years of experience. Grade C — £288 per hour for other solicitors, legal executives, and fee earners with similar experience.
So if he's any good (and his past record overseeing the Government’s £9.3bn investment for the 2012 Games including the delivery of the Olympic Park venues, infrastructure and regeneration of surrounding areas suggests he is), £950 a day could be good value...
lol.

I suspect that a compromise will be forced on Ukraine and I think it will be soon . I don’t like it but tbh I think we are being prepared for it ..we being the West.

“ The minimum wage isn't really a minimum wage is it, it's the national wage. It was born of good intention but in many respects it's backfired. The problem with imposing a minimum wage coupled with mass immigration is it gives employers a legitimate excuse to keep shop floor pay down.”
I’ve been saying this for years because it’s true . Mass immigration has a negative effect on the poorer paid and that’s one of the reasons why so many poorer paid workers were brexiters . The caring sharing lefties were dishonest enough to use this to besmirch leavers .

Well, if you recall events at the time, one of the significant contentions of the government was that the riots had been incited by people who spread a 'false rumour' - and that these people would be found and prosecuted. So, based on this, could you not take a stab in the dark on the basis of likelihood? There is no doubt that false rumours happened , if I recall correctly a rumour named a totally innocent young man that had a similar sounding name, if I recall correctly some years ago a man who lived alone on the South coast a rumour started that he was a Paedophile as recent arrest or arrests had been made locally Some people who lived near him attacked his house and daubed his house stating a Paedophile lives here get out and threw bricks at his house, all because some moron had heard he was a Philatelist and thought that meant he was a Paedophile and the rumour spread, he simply collected Stamps Indeed. Iirc the same thing happened to a Paediatrician some years ago . What’s more a local man living near Southend was accused of being a paedo by a so called Paedophile hunter . He was not a paedo and killed himself soon after.

You are posting an immature knee jerk question. Con you tell the forum when Starmer said he would be busting the gangs in his first 100 days in office? If you have to achieve something within 100 days, then Brexit was a shit show. All we got at the time was "you lost, get over it", but somehow it doesn't apply to them. There's a reason that parliamentary terms are 5 years, and it's to stop idiotic questions like this. Demonstrating a plan to bust illegal traffickers and the complex problems with Brexit are two ends of the difficulty spectrum. Who lost the gang busting competition?
