The benefit of Brexit not yet realised is politicians no longer have to answer to Brussels first and foremost, they have to answer to the British people, which as you want no part of you have to answer to Brussels first and foremost. As you asked of course. And how did the politicians have to answer to Brussels. Could you explain that hype. And how do they have to answer to the British people.. In case you have not noticed there has been 4 Prime Ministers this year. None of who have been voted in by the Scots. And three have not been voted in by any body. So far there has been a drop of around 6% in the UK economy due to Brexit. There has been a drop of 37% in inward investment into the UK. The OBR has confirmed there has been a drop of 10% in trade with the EU. As of the end of 2021. And the cost of Brexit since 2016 has now cost the tax payer, that's me. More than the entire contribution the UK has made since it joined the then common market. So I suggest you and I can agree there is no benefit. And never will be. And you gave up your freedom of movement in something like 36 countries. England being the only country in the worlds ever. To vote to make itself poorer. And anything you say. Does not alter the fact. Energy rich Scotland can no longer afford bankrupt England, as it drags it to a race to the bottom. So you keep telling us, a race to the bottom blah,blah, blah, at least the race to the bottom won't be Brussels hoovering up all the control and centralising its power base at our cost. Which Thomas keeps kindly pointing out for you, I don't see why, its not like he is a real Scottish nationalist or anything. |

A situation that never happened, not even close and never could have happened No apologies for my disturbing you with facts I guess the yearly contributions were all for our own good then, while they made it more financially viable to move industry to the continent for the corporations, while we were left with a service industry, that incidentally has never done what it says on the tin, snake oil in its highest. But by all means you take that stance, it all comes out in the wash eventually. |
