This trans/gender reform bill introduced by the SNP will quite rightly be blocked by the government who will introduce a section 35* order which will stop it gaining Royal Assent.
This SNP gender reform bill is insane. Who thought it would be a good idea to allow children, and 16 year olds are children, to decide they want to change sex? This is mind boggling in the extreme. And it's a real problem for the increasingly unpopular SNP. According to YouGov, if people in Scotland were given a vote on this, two thirds would say no.
*A section 35 order is intended to prevent laws passed by the Scottish Parliament having "an adverse effect on the operation of the law as it applies to reserved matters".

Not sure that blocking it is the best way forward. A quick rule change so that Scottish issued GRC's are not valid in the rest of the UK is all that is needed.
Then Scotland gets the 'women' it wants and the rest of the UK carry on as normal.

That means that a self declared pervert would be "female" in Scotland but male when in England, that could be confusing, what would his/her/it have entered in their UK passport.
The ideal solution would be to pass a law dissolving the prentendy parliament, attest Sturgeon for treason and install a Westminster controlled Scottish Parliament under the control of Jacob Rees Mogg. The Scots would thank us for saving them from themselves in due course.

This bill has been rushed through to prevent Kate Forbes, who is on maternity leave, from opposing it.

Well thats not really a problem as Passports (like Driving Licences) are not devolved areas of Government. So if you want a UK Passport you need a UK issued GRC - not a pretendy mickey mouse one from Scotland. I noticed that a majority of Labour MSP's also voted with the SNP for this nonsense - although I suppose thats not really surprising considering that nobody in the Labour Party knows what a Woman actually is.. |

..and it was all so predictable - Starmer wants to extend the Law to the rest of the UK.
All he had to do was shut up and he had the next election in the bag - now every Labour candidate is going to be asked to define what a woman is and whether they support womens rights or trans rights.
