So what gender do you put in your passport? - your UK gender or your Scottish gender?, bearing in mind that you dont have your address in your passport. Whats adress got to do with it pacifico.?
Surely the important issue is birth certificate?
I don’t think so. Surely the important issue is the will of the UK Parliament.

Surely the important issue is birth certificate? Scottish and english/welsh birth certificates(and northern irish ) are all different as constituent nations issue birth certificates , not the uk state. If someone legally changes their gender , this is then changed on their birth certificate , which will then transfer onto their passport presumably.
It is a UK Passport - the UK Laws on how someone can change their gender are not changing.

And neither are Scottish laws on the matter.
Dissolve the SNP government, reinstate direct rule from Westminster and abolish all laws enacted by the devolved body.

Next month, the UK government is going to roll out the Marriage and Civil Partnership Bill, which will create a legal status conflict in England and Wales for under 18's who marry in Scotland. This makes the government's main objection to Scotland's Gender Reform bill, ie that it creates a legal status conflict, look disingenuous and politically motivated.

It is a UK Passport - the UK Laws on how someone can change their gender are not changing. Its not a uk passport in the sense of a travel document that only applies to the uk state. Non uk areas such as gibraltar and the falklands for example use the uk passport , and gibratar has its own law system as well.
So what follows on from my understanding is you change your gender legally ( under whichever countries legal system as the uk doesnt have a legal system) that then changes your birth certificate (under whichever countries birth certifcate as the uk doesnt issue birth certificates) to that then presumably changing your uk travel document ( again , this travel document is not only applied to those who live in the uk ).
So your definition above makes little sense to me . There is no uk law to govern a uk passport. ( ie three different legal systems within the uk state itself , nevermind the legal systems outside in overseas territories that use the passport , as well as differing parliaments legislating on issues such as gender)
Im not being difficult pacifico , or trying to point score , im merely trying to answer your earlier question. Its a complicated issue because the uk isnt a country , its a multi national state , which both the acts of union and further devolution complicate , as well as bits of the old empire outside these islands cobbled onto using documents like passports.

How would you feel if i said abolish the english parliament and reinstate direct rule from brussells? You dont do democracy do you vinny?
The little englander empire mentality is the gift that never stops giving.

I don’t think so. Surely the important issue is the will of the UK Parliament. We asked the scottish people by referendum on that subject , and by nearly 75 % we voted for devolution. Surely the will of the scottish parliament is what is important?
only 8 % of scots wish to abolish the scottish parliament , so as ever happy you are in a tiny minority.

When scotland gains its independence , i think we should build statues to the anglo conservative party and place them in george square , for services to the independence cause.
I dont know who is advising the dimwits at tory hq , but they are by far the best recruiting sergeants the indy movement could wish for.
Must buy another bag of popcorn ......

Perhaps the ‘Anglo Conservative Party ‘want a referendum sooner rather than later.

I am a taxpayer my taxes contribute towards it. I am a voter my vote contributes towards it. Abolish the crap. The UK is the settled expressed will of the Scottish electorate. The devolution vote was in the 1990s, the unionist vote was in 2014. Much has changed since 1998, there's a mad woman in Holyrood trying to take Scotland out of the United Kingdom whilst wasting monumental amounts of taxpayers money and producing silly laws. Abolish the devolved body. Bring back direct UK wide rule.

nope. A Uk that had both devolution and was part of the EU. You have forced us out of one union against the majority wishes , and now according to your posts wish to end the scottish parliament as well against 75 % of the public wishes .
Like i said vinny , you are the gift that keeps on giving.

But I do have a vote in Scotland. And I am a British taxpayer who contributes towards the devolved farce.
And since the UK is the expressed will of the electorate. The Scottish Parliament is in violation of respecting that will. Dissolve the devolved body. Bring back direct rule.
