You sounded a bit more judgmental than that tbh. There was not so subtle insinuations of racism during the campaign, not so subtle insinuations of ignorance and little Englander mindset afterwards . Now the old folk are getting this contradictory bullshit about selfishness which reached its zenith in your ‘ god’ nonsense . Ive considered all positions. God knows how many times the people who lost the referendum vote repeat them enough . There might well have been, but its a bit of an assumption to place the claims in my history. Lets try looking at this from a different angle. You say you could see wages suppressed by EU membership. (Excuse my shorthand) How was this reduction of wages affecting those on pensions? Or;Did you vote the way you did for the young workers you saw struggling around you. Why not try reading my posts …I repeat “If the boomers were just thinking about themselves and their pensions then they would be more than happy for legions of cheap Labour paying NI “ Do you want me to walk you through that sentence ? Think this through ..if I witnessed wages stagnating now then why should I not expect them to continue stagnat?

Instead of baggy no returns read the post. It addresses your misrepresentation of state pensions and your idiocy of comparing them to scams .

In your mind Read the definition: www.investopedia.com/terms/p/ponzischeme.asp'A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investing scam which generates returns for earlier investors with money taken from later investors. This is similar to a pyramid scheme in that both are based on using new investors' funds to pay the earlier backers.
Both Ponzi schemes and pyramid schemes eventually bottom out when the flood of new investors dries up and there isn't enough money to go around. At that point, the schemes unravel.' Exactly what the state pension scheme has bene doing since 1948 The difference between a Ponzi and Pyramid schemes and state pension is that neither of the Ponzi or the Pyramid schemes were ever necessary. I would argue that a Pension scheme was a necessity. So while criticizing the scheme as it now stands, in a totally different place to where it started, the big question is where do we go from here. For myself I was not criticising the idea of pensions, merely the idea that they should be untouchable because they were funded by years of hard work.

Just wanted to confirm that. So you made your vote to help the young even though they didn't want you to, for their own good? What are you on about? You seem to be framing everything to match your shoulder chip. If I voted for myself I was selfish. If I voted for others then I was making decisions others didn’t want and I was playing God whatever I voted . Of course , in the world between your ears all of this would evaporate if I had voted to remain . You don’t really know what you are on about , do you?

I had no objection to you voting for your own good, but it was you who claimed you had done it for the young. So the next obvious step is to point out they didn't want you to, so you did it because you know best. This conversation was about why the young don't respect the opinions of the old. That you find that offensive as compared to thought provoking is not my fault.

You have already alluded to selfishness because older people just thought about their pensions . When that one didn’t work you moved to another kind of selfishness..doing it for people whether they like it or not . You have been grubbing for a one dimensional reason that you can object to . When you failed , you just made one up. You are just another ex remainer who has nothing left but sniping and inventing character faults in others to excuse your frustration. I don’t find you offensive . I find you confused , bitter and contradictory.

So while criticizing the scheme as it now stands, in a totally different place to where it started, the big question is where do we go from here. It should have been set up with a plan to make it legitimately funded within 10 years. Instead government after government has gone down the route of increasing payouts to win elections by funding those through increased contributions from those working and increasing immigration to inflate the numbers of those contributing. How does one legitimately fund a state pension without any basic contribution from the state/wage earners? And why wouldn't there be a basic contribution from the state/wage earners? I would suggest that the main reasons the state pensions are being attacked is because of over a decade of financial weakness in the country as a whole.

It’s about how you repeatedly tried to frame what was posted to match your shoulder chip and innate bitterness. You need to stop dodging that . Of course it’s about you , you are the one throwing the insinuations around in the first place .

I had no need to insinuate. I even asked you to clarify, which you did. Question is why are you protesting?
