Farage's vote was in 2015 or 2016. It doesn't take very long for brown envelopes to be exchanged. That's not two decades. It's probably not even two hours. Farage was an MEP for 2 decades - if he was corrupt as you claim then the EU had plenty of time to combat that corruption. You are free to start a thread about whatever fake news you want - if you wish to believe that Bylines is an authoritative source feel free - we have posters believing all sorts of weird things on this forum (see the threads on Ukraine) Erm ... Putin needed him for that particular vote. And Farage was only too willing to oblige. Cheers re Bylines, Doc. You're a gent!

It may not be surprising that corruption exists as it almost certainly exists elsewhere, but rife? that is an accusation that requires evidence. Ask Darling - he claimed that corrupt MEP's were running round for 2 decades without getting caught. Nah, I blocked him, no interest in talking to him.

Yes, but you're still courageously hurling insults from behind the safety of the block button. Well done you! You now have the best of both worlds: you can continue lying your arse off with the advantage of not having to rebut posts which show you're taking massive liberties with the truth.

So once again you dodge the issue. I'm not here to police the EU's corruption problems - that is why I supported leaving. . . . Oh the irony. It turned out that one of the biggest offenders was the UK which is why they fined us massively. Anyone thinking that leaving ended that UK illegality gets the 2022 Ah Bless award

"An advisory committee looks into ethical breaches at the European Parliament. All of its five members are chosen by the Parliament's president, who has the final say over whether an MEP is sanctioned.
Out of 24 possible cases during parliament's last term, not a single MEP was sanctioned, Aiossa told Euronews, adding that even if they were sanctioned "the worst" thing that could happen is that their daily allowance is stopped for 30 days."Its hardly surprising corruption is so rampant...

Its hardly surprising corruption is so rampant... LOL! You voted for Johnson, didn't you, Doc? 1) Among numerous unedifying episodes, the government has handed public sector jobs to political cronies; 2) awarded COVID contracts to VIPs; 3) allowed an ethics adviser to quit rather than accept his verdict of ministerial bullying; 4) appointed a Conservative donor to the House of Lords against the advice of officials; 5) and unlawfully fast-tracked a building project for a Conservative donor; 6) Johnson himself has been at the center of several ethics inquiries, including over how a Caribbean island holiday was paid for; 7)how he paid for his Downing Street flat refurb; 8) and whether he misused his position as London mayor to benefit an American businesswoman with whom he had an affair. www.politico.eu/article/great-britain-boris-johnson-lobby-rules-corruption/

Compare what - what has Johnson got to do with rampant corruption in the EU? Do you think there is some sort of contest going on to have the highest level of corruption?
