Isn't that what you're doing? Labour won a LANDSLIDE, whether you or I like it or not. They will have a 5 year parliament. In 2017 every south Wales labour candidate stated the importance of respecting the result of the 2016 referendum. They need not have said that. In that election, in our constituency, candidates stood on a range of policies ranging from 'piss on the referendum result it was only advisory' all the way to 'piss on the negotiation process just repeal the 1972 act and get the fuck out' Labour won on a manifesto commitment to respect the result, and promptly entered into conspiracy with the speaker to detail it. That's why Boris won so many seats two years later... Starmer is just doing the same. I partially agree, but my argument is not about Brexit per se, but whether a public petition has relevance after a public vote. After 2016 I was told it doesn't, but now the people who told me that are pushing a petition. I'm simply highlighting the hypocrisy. Or as Squeezed would say, oh the irony.

The government sent a leaflet to every household in the UK setting out exactly what Brexit meant: It meant leaving the Single Market and the Customs Union. And that's been delivered. The "People's Vote" was simply sour grapes from people who didn't want that. Well, tough tits. This petition is about a government which has reneged on pretty much all of its major pre-election pledges. So even the suckers who voted for them aren't getting what they voted for. Let alone the majority who didn't vote Labour.

They still haven't got over that shock yet to their system.

Topped one million, with more to come.
As Andrew smugly comments it will not change anything, but it does indicate that the continuing incompetence and spite of our Marxist Government is not meeting with universal approval.
I genuinely think it will top 5 million next week.

At 6:01am Dimbleby was sucking lemons to give his announcement that Britain Was Leaving The EU

And you've gotten over the fact that Labour won the 2024 general election? We all knew they would win. But even many of the first time voters have stated they made a BIG mistake by voting labour. Remainers were so fucking smug they thought they were the ones who would carry the day...LOL But then the left are not known for their mental agility or working brain cells.
