Sounds like the ideal guy to become Reforms Law and Order spokesman.

I thought wrongly that a Criminal Conviction would prevent a person from becoming an MP it does not, his Conviction as a Juvenile is well spent 18 months after his conviction as I understand it he does not have to disclose his Conviction

If one has spent convictions - should they not be given a 2nd chance at rehabilitation?... They are: Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 1974 CHAPTER 53 An Act to rehabilitate offenders who have not been reconvicted of any serious offence for periods of years, to penalise the unauthorised disclosure of their previous convictions...I wonder if The Times is in breach?

This has been brought up before. He's a reformed character and this is just mud-slinging.

This has been brought up before. He's a reformed character and this is just mud-slinging. How do know he is not capable of such aggression at some time in the future? Have you ever even seriously considered kicking a girl friend, or any girl or anyone else for that matter? IMO such serious aggression indicates a seriously damaged emotional system, something that cannot be easily changed.

It was a juvenile conviction and it is quite possible that The Times is breaking the law by disclosing it.
We should probably not discuss it.

How do you know whether you or I are capable of such aggression at some time in the future? Thanks for your irrelevant question and your opinion. I dare say your opinion would have differed if it was a Blairite MP, but that's just MY opinion.

Stop being silly, I never suggested all was right in this situation, I challenged a posters assumption on there not being a potential problem at some time in the future. Your knee jerk comments so often make a fool of you.
