How worse can it get?
Rachel Reeves caught 'lying' on her CV as GDP growth takes big hit The Tories have laid into the Chancellor as online observers say row should be a resignation matter.
In October the Guido Fawkes website revealed that while she claimed she worked as an “economist” at the Bank of Scotland between 2006 and 2009, she in fact had a more mundane job working in a support unit managing administration, IT and planning matters

She really is Rachel from accounts. It's hilarious, but she's in the job now, so they won't sack her. It does appear that she is a grade A liar.

I'm not so sure, when you lie on your CV it's generally a automatic firing.

I'm not so sure, when you lie on your CV it's generally a automatic firing. All the labours wankers CV's would win the booker prize for fiction...

I'm not so sure, when you lie on your CV it's generally a automatic firing. I think they'll just put up a smoke screen and try to confuse anyone asking difficult questions. Probably mentioning a £22 billion black hole. The thing is, people remember who they worked with a few years back and can remember working with Rachel and exactly what she did at work.

In normal circumstances, with this coming only 12 months after the plagiarism scandal that Reeves got herself mired in, once it was discovered that the book she had 'written' comprised of some chunks lifted word for word from Wikipedia, Labour would have demanded Rachel stand down for the sake of the reputation of the Government. Could it be that with Lord Alli, Taylor Swift tickets, and the frantic troughing from day one, that the Labour top brass are concluding that most of the public have figured out what sort of characters comprise this Starmer Government, and frankly there isn't much further damage that can reputaionally be done ?

I'm not so sure, when you lie on your CV it's generally a automatic firing. I recall the weirdest interview ever They didn't ask me a damn thing They asked if I had any questions, and I said 'yes, you didn't ask me any questions' and the guy said 'well, we read your CV and we have an idea of what you've already done. So we expect you to big up your skills and achievements a bit, everyone does, but we think if you've out and out lied about what you can do we'll know in a week and you're on tbe street ... Does that sound fair ?' I said 'it does if you don't mind me pumping you for info on the job so I know whether to agree to take it..... What you say on a CV really depends on whether you can deliver on what it makes people think you can do I could, not that I said anything beyond my ability and record Reeves ... Hmmm So
