People leave their brains at the door when they desperately want to believe something. Companies are set up all the time when a new contract is sought / signed, it is the obvious thing to do to limit the liability and protest the rest of your business interests. Mones is a glamourous figure that made her name selling lingerie, the press love to print stories about her because she ticks so many boxes. Maybe will see her in handcuffs, but I doubt it, because many of these "corruption" stories are just the media playing to their readership / viewers. It is amazing how people can see how the right-wing media plays people, but they are so blind to it happening in the left-media too lol. She has lied many times before with dishonest business.

In many respects Baroness Mone is a perfect example to people who want to abolish the Lords. She was elevated to the Lords by the same minority appeasing prime minister who instructed chief constables not to investigate grooming gangs. Yes indeed Gordon Brown, hands up anyone who's surprised.
The privilage of being elevated to the Lords should be open only for ex MP's and ministers who have shown exemplary service to their constituents and the country. Not for Labour PM's to show how virtuous they are, or for Tory PM's to thank donors. The Lords in itself is not a bad idea, what stinks is the way Lords are appointed.

She has lied many times before with dishonest business. Got any proof of that? Read her wiki page. I left the link in the OP.

The original idea was nature vs nurture. the Lords with their hereditary peers was the nature and the Commons the nurture. Each kind of checks the other. Someone did not like the hereditary peers though even though many did a great job and were dedicated to it.

I wish to make a correction to the OP. The Guardian was wrong. It was not £29m profit because an "HSBC probe" found it was it was £65m in profit. This was ascertained by the financial transactions it was privy to. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bkshh4jOzME£122m of taxpayer's money was paid out to PPE Medpro for gowns which did not meet the NHS standards. It's hardly pro, is it? Even the name is a lie.
