Personally I have no problem with anyone buying an EV . Why should I ? I have no problem with anyone enjoying their EV and telling everyone how happy it makes them . Why should I? WhatI do have a problem with is net zero nuts pretending that EVs are far better than what they are l They lack range ( the £110k EV zany mentioned has less range than my Hyundai). Their drivers are susceptible to range anxiety ( I’m not). ..add that to the fact that some owners might never be able charge them from home They are comparatively expensive to buy and insure , They don’t last as long as ICE vehicles . All the above is true . The “ let them eat cake “ net zero nuts pretend that that they are not but they patently are . From citing highly expensive cars to future speculation right up to sheer bollocks ..none of the EV fanboys have proven otherwise . Yes Bentley we've been here. You keep telling EV owners that their cars are no good, for various reasons. They fight back. All you have left now is 1, You can do more miles between filling up, which makes your Hyundai better than most Maserati's. Because obviously that's the most important thing in an ICE car. 2, You'd struggle to charge your EV if you live in a flat, actually you'd have to go to a charge point for 30 minutes All your other put downs about peoples EV's have been dealt with or are being dealt with. I haven't once said ICE cars are crap. Net zero nuts are not nuts, they are just people concerned about global pollution. (More insults from you and yours) I think it is more a case that in terms of convenience and cost is that EVs cannot currently come anywhere near matching ICE vehicles for the ordinary man in the street. EVs can be specific town cars and meet a need but in terms of overall convenience a car for town and sometimes numerous and sudden long distance travel ICE cars meet that need admirably.

Cost and inconvenience. While zany argues we must not think about these little details and take one on the chin for the green cult.

If they were concerned about global pollution they wouldn't be splitting arsing across the globe 2 or 3 times a year. How many will walk to cop 29 for example?
Most of the time I fill up my car in a few seconds. I arrive home plug it in, done. I know Jonsky if you care about global warming you should live like a hermit. If you care about the poor you should give all your money away. If you care about animals you should dedicate your life to them. When it comes down to it, that's a pretty good excuse for doing nothing, don't you think?

Naah, not now they do around 300 miles a pop. That makes them good for 95% of drivers. Then you look at the savings in running costs, the acceleration, the charging convenience of charging at home. The lack of pollution in traffic. All the good stuff you keep forgetting to mention

Nothing needs to be done eco is just another form of making money by scaring the shit out of idiots...

And have to travel bloody miles to find a charging station that works or has not got a line of EV's waiting to plug in..

Most of the time I fill up my car in a few seconds. I arrive home plug it in, done. are you waffling on about your hybrid yet again , despite the conversation largely being about the comparison between charging full EV , compared to filling petrol/diesel? A full EV takes far more time to charge over the course of the month than a petrol or diesel car will take filling , quite obviously. If you had a shred of integrity and honesty , you would accept the point and move on.

No one will believe you until they are here Baron, just as they wouldn't believe the 200 mile, the 250 mile, the 300 mile battery. Or the 30 minute, the 20 minute, the 10 minute charging.

Yes we covered that, there are more ways coming all the time. What about the fantastically cheap fuel. And thankfully the IPCC are not relying on you for advice on atmospheric Co2 concentrations and their effects.

And we can all come up with alternative views including the IPCC by selective use of so called facts.
