I suspect that you couldn’t find a current EV with batteries guaranteed to last longer than 100000 miles so you tried to be a smart arse. d That's because a battery's life is dependent on how you use it. Likewise you would not get guarantees of an ICE engine lasting that time since people would just rev the bollox off it and grind the gears.
It turns out that if you use bidirectional charging it extends the life.
The problem though is similar to when people asked how long would flash memory keep the data. No one could know for sure as it was a new technology. We are also in the early adopters phase of the market. The technology in this phase is rapidly developing so people pay a premium to be the first to use it. Depreciation in this phase is steep due to the rate of change in technology. Solar is in a similar state. 23% efficiency is the industrial average, but theoretically we could have 100% energy collection. ICE engines are different. There is a theoretical limit to efficiency which is a perfect heat engine. This is 19c thermodynamic theory. I learnt it as a student decades ago. It's all partial differential equations. The trouble is you have this unfounded certainty in what you say, yet i don't think you have covered the textbook stuff.
EV's are nothing more than glorified milk floats Baron...

Of course . So did you find an EV with batteries that could last longer than the rest of the car or should I put file your claim under ‘ bullshit ?

The claim was made by you . Turns out that you cant support it . So it’s in the bullshit file .

I’ll post it again..”So did you find an EV with batteries that could last longer than the rest of the car? “ Maybe you could tell us what make and model it is .

I see, so you want complete proof of everything said or else you will scream liar. One rule for you and another for me eh?

Well thanks a bunch for condescending to reply. That vehicle was posted earlier by Bentley, who also pointed out that it costs $110,900 which seems to show that this net zero business is a rich man's game. I will never be able to afford that, although I do get your argument about cars not needing huge ranges. I rarely travel more than 150 miles in one day. Unfortunately most manufacturers exaggerate their vehicle range, so that claims of 300 are more likely 200 in the real world. We can't really trust car salesmen, can we?

The range exaggeration from what ive heard is a serious issue. Technically the manufacturers are correct in the estimated range of these vehicles , but im told this is without passengers and luggage . Add these in , and the range drops like a diesel towing a caravan.

I can imagine. im sure we have all come across people we know who have these cars , and in my experience , everyone I have talked to is unimpressed. Anecdotal evidence seems to be walking hand in hand with what we are reading both uk wide , European wide , and across the western world with the slow take up of these cars , essentially a niche market for the select few. Genuinely interested in new technology , wether its for transport or whatever , but these evs as thing stand are a complete no no.

I see, so you want complete proof of everything said or else you will scream liar. One rule for you and another for me eh? Nope. I just want you to support a specific claim by some measure that can be checked ie a make and model . Instead I get a dodgy video from a bloke who makes a claim that cant be corroborated and wouldn’t be relevant if it could. Maybe I can convince you that the Earth is flat by posting a video with a bloke claiming the Earth is flat. Anyway, now we have established that there are no available EVs that have batteries that will last longer than the car,we can keep that false claim in the bullshit bin and move on .

And it just doesn’t sink in with them does it? When their ‘ let them eat cake ‘ bollocks is pointed out . When it’s made clear that the car i# far above what an ordinary person could afford ..they just press on with the same bollocks .
