Starmer scores first major Brexit reset success with landmark defence deal.....
Starmer has scored the first major breakthrough in his great Brexit reset with a landmark new defence deal with Germany.
Less than four months into his premiership, the prime minister has struck an agreement with the most influential and powerful member state in the EUSSR....
Under the plans, German aircraft in the Luftwaffe, Germany’s air force, will operate from a base in Britain to help protect the North Atlantic from the growing threat from Russia, while around 400 jobs are set to be created in a new munitions factory in the UK.
Defence secretary John Healey said the agreement represented a “major strengthening of Europe’s security” and was a “milestone moment” in the UK’s relationship with Germany.
But the prime minister was urged to go further in strengthening the UK’s relationship with the EUSSR and seize other areas of cooperation.

There is no "but" about it, mutually beneficial cooperation is just commonsense. All your post seem to be a misguided attempt to attack Labour. Any ability to rationalise situations appears to be totally absent.

“ Under the plans, German aircraft in the Luftwaffe, Germany’s air force, will operate from a base in Britain to help protect the North Atlantic from the growing threat from Russia, while around 400 jobs are set to be created in a new munitions factory in the UK”
How does this give the UK greater security?
I would say that it is more likely to divert any potential Russian attacks away from Germany and towards the UK air bases . Germany isn’t across an ocean like the US .

Why does it upset you doofus? because its damn slander and lies you clown Slander is spoken, in print it's libel. Know the difference..... And anyway, what did he say that was dishonest? If you agree with the policy make a case as to why this is necessary and cannot be done by other means (such as NATO)? Also, do not forget that since 1942 there have been US servicemen stationed on British soil. US fighter aircraft at British airbases. Our military alliance with the Yanks has been the most successful military alliance in history. That was achieved without membership of the EU (which didn't exist).
