A different government so different outcomes. Silly silly man. If all the pensioners entitled to pension credits get the credits it won't be anywhere near one billion pounds, never mind three billion. Nonsense - the DWP have said that if everyone claimed it would cost them over £2 Billion and it also would make people eligible for other payments from different departments. So £3 Billion in payouts is quite possible. It is a prize A1 clusterfuck - of the type that is becoming increasingly common from the present shower. Ridiculous ^^ but even if true, that would still leave the Government One Billion pounds better off and able to redirect that money for the benefit of the country. So I don't see any point in you continuing your usual whinge over this point against the government.

Well my whinge is that the Government are going to kill 4000 people (their figures - and they wouldn't lie) for what is looking to be zero benefit to the treasury.

But as I have already explained - it's unlikely that the government will see this £1 Billion - in the meantime 4000 people are dead.

Not interested in any of your opinions, and the 4,000 was an estimate, there is no way it could have been anything other than, and it was at a different time with a different government. In my estimation there will be nothing like 4,000 people who will die solely and only because of the cut in WFA.

It wasn't from a Labour Government. Its guesswork anyway, so why not?
