Caring sharing labour An additional 50,000 pensioners will be living in relative poverty next year as a result of cuts to the winter fuel allowance, the government's own estimates have revealed.Earlier this year, Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced the £300 payment would be restricted to all but the poorest pensioners - those eligible for pension credit. In a bid to soften the impact of the cuts, the government launched a campaign to encourage eligible pensioners to apply for pension credit. In a letter clarifying the figures,, external Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall said the estimates did not take into account any increased take-up of pension credit. According to the estimates provided by the government, in the years ending March 2025, March 2026 and March 2028 there will be an additional 50,000 pensioners in relative poverty after housing costs. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c80l9lde5yjoCompair that to Child poverty left by the Tory government and see you is caring sharing Government Poverty is poverty doofus .

I want everyone who is rich enough to pay more tax. You can play this stupid game but it wont change that. We have too many people with a billion pounds and too many without even proper care, its no way to run a civilised country. But you told told me that you didn't pay more tax - or is it that you want somebody else to pay more tax? The current tax burden is now at the highest level since WW2 - if, with that amount of tax being paid, we cannot afford some pet projects then perhaps that kinda indicates that we are t rying to fund too many pet projects..OR, actually protecting too many billionaires.

This is a very good point "Don't leave the EU, think of the farmers" Vs "Sod the farmers, make these fuckers cough up" The EU, like Net Zero, is simply a means of control. Accusations of "a means of control" from a Trump supporter. LOL you should be on a stage.

The budget has thrown a Royal spanner in the works . Not increasing income tax and not effecting the payslip in your pocket as the idiot Starmer keeps telling us isn't a lot of good with inflation going on a run , this morning at 2.3% . Rach from accounts is pondering over that this morning. She'll probably double down with extra council tax, that not being income tax. Yep and will be another attack on those on fixed incomes , pensioners included .

Everyone knows 1 diversity manager = 1 proton scanner. Everyone knows that one diversity manager is one too many. Well, everyone with any sense anyway.

Your cartoon is about the billionaires, who not so long ago scraped a few more billions together. If the country, not some already extremely rich people, needs more, then yes. The Tory era of feed the rich, which obviously failed, should be modified.

So Inflation - up Taxes - up Unemployment - up Energy bills - up Growth - down Wages - down The truth on her CV - down Rachel Reeves is hopeless and should resign. While the incredibly biased Rightists who probably never even bothered to think about what this country needs and what this government is trying to do for the future benefit of this country, just treat it as an opportunity for nasty dishonest dark rhetoric. Such limited thinking is a sure sign of seriously ingrained political bias.

But Labour didn't target the rich in their budget, did they? No, they targeted ordinary people, the mainstay of British prosperity. So Labour are more of the same with the rich. As I posted in another thread, rich 2TK even has a law to himself to save him paying taxes.

Labour take from the poor and “ struggling to keep my head above water” and give to pet projects . They have no intention of achieving the leftie wet dream of making millionaires out of billionaires . They are looking to make themselves wealthy.

We just need to cut waste, that will do it. Why didn't the Tories think of that? Everyone knows 1 diversity manager = 1 proton scanner Cutting waste would be a good start. For example the Covid inquiry is on track to cost over £200 Million - that amount could have funded the salary of over 5,650 junior doctors. Or we can just ignore waste and bleat for more!..more!

For example the Covid inquiry is on track to cost over £200 Million - Nice work if you can get it The planning application for the Lower Thames Crossing has cost £300 Million - and for that not a single spade of dirt has been dug. And some pooh-pooh the idea of cutting waste..
