Amazing how certain remainers have conveniently forgotten British farmers when they pretended to defend them during Brexit negotiations. This is a very good point "Don't leave the EU, think of the farmers" Vs "Sod the farmers, make these fuckers cough up" The EU, like Net Zero, is simply a means of control.

so you want to pay more tax but when given the option you choose not to?. that does not sound particularly altruistic.. I want everyone who is rich enough to pay more tax. You can play this stupid game but it wont change that. We have too many people with a billion pounds and too many without even proper care, its no way to run a civilised country. But you told told me that you didn't pay more tax - or is it that you want somebody else to pay more tax? The current tax burden is now at the highest level since WW2 - if, with that amount of tax being paid, we cannot afford some pet projects then perhaps that kinda indicates that we are trying to fund too many pet projects..

Caring sharing labour An additional 50,000 pensioners will be living in relative poverty next year as a result of cuts to the winter fuel allowance, the government's own estimates have revealed.Earlier this year, Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced the £300 payment would be restricted to all but the poorest pensioners - those eligible for pension credit. In a bid to soften the impact of the cuts, the government launched a campaign to encourage eligible pensioners to apply for pension credit. In a letter clarifying the figures,, external Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall said the estimates did not take into account any increased take-up of pension credit. According to the estimates provided by the government, in the years ending March 2025, March 2026 and March 2028 there will be an additional 50,000 pensioners in relative poverty after housing costs. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c80l9lde5yjo

No, you're just deliberately misunderstanding as usual. Creating a strawman to say the things you want to argue against. Nothing to misunderstand. Question “ How many people should have a billion pounds ? Answer .. No one, but it does happen.. It couldn’t be more clear . There is no strawman , just back peddling , denial and diversion from you . Yes by quoting a short bit of sentence out of context and ignoring clarification.

So
Inflation - up Taxes - up Unemployment - up Energy bills - up Growth - down Wages - down
The truth on her CV - down
Rachel Reeves is hopeless and should resign.

No one needs a billion pounds, some end up with a billion pounds because of something they invented, a few are driven to get it by any means.
Who should have a million pounds, no one SHOULD. That does not mean forcibly remove it from them.
As I explained, all I want is that they help the country that they live in appropriately and not be greedy.
If you spent a £1 every second day and night, it would take you 32 years to spend one billion pounds.
I think this conversation has run out now.

This is a very good point "Don't leave the EU, think of the farmers" Vs "Sod the farmers, make these fuckers cough up" The EU, like Net Zero, is simply a means of control. And of course a means for 'welfarism' which many on the Left in Britain look up to on the continent - especially Scandinavia. And while Starmer charges ahead with his high-spending, high taxing social democracy; Christine Lagarde (who has a criminal conviction in financial negligence and is who is now head of the European Central Bank), 'has stated that Europe's social models are utterly unsustainable'. www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2024/11/20/why-the-sun-is-setting-on-the-european-style-welfarism/Starmer didn't get the memo. He carries on trying to grip the coattails of the EU's social model believing it is some nirvana him and Labour will eventually reach. Only instead, all he has done similar to the meaningless COP 29 summit (with Britain's new and negligible assurances being completely ignored by the rest of the world) is shoot Britain in the foot by enviously and socially, taxing those we still rely on for what's left of our food security.

The budget has thrown a Royal spanner in the works . Not increasing income tax and not effecting the payslip in your pocket as the idiot Starmer keeps telling us isn't a lot of good with inflation going on a run , this morning at 2.3% .

It’s called lying .

Your hypocrisy is obvious to everyone but you . Not because you have wealth but because you pontificate about others who are wealthier than you . Just another virtue signal.

Rach from accounts is pondering over that this morning. She'll probably double down with extra council tax, that not being income tax.
