Labour policy under fire as ‘general public will pay'.... Families will soon face higher prices while the Government rakes in billions extra each year thanks to Labour policies, a group of politicians has warned. MPs have backed a motion in Parliament warning the extra costs imposed on businesses with the rise in the National Living Wage and the increase in employer National Insurance contributions will particularly affect the hospitality sector, meaning "retail prices increasing to pay for these additional costs".....

Not feasible you are assuming every house in the street only has one vehicle what about a house whose family members also have vehicles ? where do they park ? even now people who live in terraced streets struggle to park in their own street, they park in neighbouring streets, if their cars are electric how do they charge their vehicle ? There is no solution that is perfect, what do they do now? They would have at least one guaranteed space at night, that seems better than what you say they have now which is a bun fight. People have had their lawnmowers stolen, should we stop owning them? And besides the arm is just an arm and a cable, the charger unit is in the house. most of the household charging stations I have seen are mounted on the outside wall of the house , even if inside you have to have a plugin point on the outside to connect the cable to their car, or have one in the garage if you have one, the only other option is an open a window to get the cable to your car, not a great idea when charging overnight. Who in their right mind would have an electric cable coiled up in their hallway or under the stairs especially if they have children Wife and I are considering going back to England to see our children grandchildren and friends at Christmas flying is not an option with a big sack of presents as well as our luggage its also expensive, if we do go we will go by car If we had an electric car its a four hour drive to the Ferry Port in Dublin by the time I get there the electric car would need charging, do they have charging stations on the Ferry I have no idea if they have how many will I be able to charge it up ? When we land at Holyhead is there any charging points I have to find one and wait until its fully charged to get to London, then find another charging point and wait for it to charge up again, once we have seen everyone in London and Hertfordshire I then have a 250 mile drive to see my family in Lancashire and Yorkshire, time to charge up again if I can find a charging station and wait for it to be charged Then of course we have to do the same on the trip back to Ireland, that is how impractical an Electric Cars are, about as much use as a Chocolate Teapot IMO Our present car does 70 mpg I can do the whole trip quicker and easier with a conventional car

Labours plan for growth off to a good start.... Rachel from accounts said she is not satisfied with the latest figures. Does she own them, or is she trying to blame someone else?

Does she own them, or is she trying to blame someone else? no , she said her latest greatest idea is to rip up the post crash financial regulations on big banks , and she promises there won't be another crash under her watch. PFI incoming too at any moment. I mean , you dont even need to ask what the plans are of these fucking automatons . Simple regurgitation of everything done under blair and brown.

As is usual with the Left (and in this case the Extreme Left) it’s the grass roots wealth creators that are being punished.....Why do they despise them so ? It's official... Rachel Reeves DID deliver the biggest tax-raising Budget on record: OBR watchdog's database shows Chancellor hiked the burden by £41.5bn - MORE than Norman Lamont's notorious 1993 raid..... Rachel Reeves has been handed an unwanted historical distinction - as official figures showed her Budget was the biggest tax-raiser on record. Updated statistics from the OBR watchdog reveal that the eye-watering package is set to boost the burden by £41.5billion a year by the end of the decade. That is even more than Norman Lamont's notorious 1993 fiscal raid in the wake of Black Wednesday - which is estimated to have brought in an extra £40.8billion. The scoring gives a formal verdict on whether Ms Reeves set a new mark in comparable data, which the OBR holds back to 1970. The Chancellor has already been confirmed as pushing the tax burden to a new post-Second World War peak - and almost certainly the highest ever for Brits. .... www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14082155/Rachel-Reeves-tax-raising-Budget-record-OBR-watchdog-database-Lamont-1993.html

In real terms, Norman Lamont's tax rises were still higher than Reeves, but she had a good try.

That's because most EV's at the moment are not on streets with no front garden or parking. The boom is just a method of raising the charging wire 10 feet above the path. With on street housing the charging unit would have to be inside the house, a wire run from it through the wall to the boom and across the pavement to the car. I guess someone could steal the plug off the car end. What's that worth? Everyone who has a hoover. A cable is only dangerous when switched on. Yes I also have a mate who drives from Lands end to John O Groats every day via Budapest, he'll never buy electric. How often do you do this marathon journey and how much could you save (Money and time) the rest of the time by having an EV I'm betting you haven't given that a thought.

New Country Immediately Drops Support for Electric Cars....
The SEPP program has been a key incentive for electric car buyers.
This year alone, €58 million (about $62 million) was set aside for it, but the money is expected to run out before the official end date of December 27.
According to Autovise, as of November 6, 90.2% of the budget—€52.33 million (around $56 million)—had already been spent. That leaves just €5.67 million (around $6 million), which is enough for roughly 1,922 drivers looking to buy a new electric car.

Seek and ye shall find.
Tesla's charger map of UK and Ireland; the red ones are Tesla Superchargers where you can get a 200-mile charge in 15 minutes. You don't have to have a Tesla to use them.

LOL and how many of them work or have not been vandalsied or removed? I can't vouch for other areas but looking at your map there are not that many service stations in my area let alone charging stations for electric lemons..

Thanks for that, I was aware there was a map of their locations All well and good but they will need lots more when if and the millions of vehicles currently on the roads are all Electric in the UK over 30 million vehicles, at present if I did want to change to Electric I cannot afford one far too expensive,
