The ones I'm talking about attach to your house, they are your own private charger. They swing out over the pavement and drop down over your car. who in the UK has allocated private parking on a public street? At the moment they are mostly resident only, wouldn't take much to make them house specific. That said there's a good app now where you can let others use your charger when you aren't. The app automatically turns on the power to the boom and charges the user. Its all this modern stuff, kids today, don't know their born.

Nobody its first come gets to park , plus you cannot put your wheelie bin or anything else on the highway to stop people parking outside your home full stop imagine those chargers swinging about outside your house in residential streets ? in some of the Scottish towns and cities I know , they would be getting ripped off the building by bored teenagers . Im sure scotland is not alone ...... God someone needs to invent the clip. Sigh

Im sure scotland is not alone ...... That was my obvious thought, plus a thick pair of gloves, some oversize snippers and a visit to the scrappy after an overnight foray, beats lineside signalling as an easy target. Gosh, we're really having to scrape the bucket of negativity now. Its comic.

The UK has more cars on its roads than ever before yet in 25 years we have 75% cleaner air. You can blame the unelected dictators in Brussels for that sorry state of affairs.
The good news is that having cast off the colonial yoke and got our sovereignty back our wonderful British car industry no longer has to comply with their dastardly directives.
They can stick their Euro 7 where the sun doesn't shine. Up yours Delors!
Not really - the EU standards are to comply with the 'World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations' (WP.29) - a UN organisation.

Maybe euthanasia would help. It would give us all a good rest... Why thank you. That's so kind. I am well known for my compassion and for helping those who can't help themselves...

As I say, they are already resident only, how do you think they know which cars belong to residents? Yes that's right you buy a permit from the council.

Net zero is complete bollox, because wind and pollution in the atmosphere.I once said to an eco-zealot, my generation has done more about pollution than they could ever hope to achieve, they replied none of it had worked.

Gosh, we're really having to scrape the bucket of negativity now. Its comic. I lived in areas of artisan terraced housing for 20 years in the south and the damage that was done on a regular basis. I could list if you want but personally there were at least 20 incidents of actual damage over that period and a protruding socket is a prime target. Just count the number of car aerials that were just broken by the casual passer by, scratches on cars, wing mirrors broken etc. They find something that works to really annoy, it is the nature of feral youth and you realistically have to recognise that. Fuel caps lock for a reason, aerials are on top for a reason, wing mirrors fold for a reason.
