A married couple in their seventies and their pet dog were found dead by their daughter.
A rifle was recovered from the house.
Not many more details to go on yet.

I suspect legal gun owner And? Exactly it matters not if it was a legally held Firearm or not people who are going to take their own lives will find a way to do, it appears to be a Murder Suicide on the limited amount of information in the Public Domain at the present time |

Many old people are too proud to ask for help or want their offsprings burdened by them maybe they thought it was better to shoot themselves rather than die from hyperthermia..I am not saying that is the case but it is a possility.. |

If I'm ever in a terminally ill situation, for example, early stage dementia, I'll call the Police whilst I still have my wits about me, and they'll be able to collect my guns and be able to recover my body.
There's no process in our country to have an assisted humane dignified death.

So, if I were suffering from terminal illness and were to drop my home and gun cabinet keys at a Police Station, before jumping off beachy head or something (only way to guarantee the weapons aren't nicked), that would be a bad thing, but living in declining mental and physical health would be a good thing?
Suppose my partner was the one who was terminally ill and decided to end it? And I couldn't live without her? We don't have enough compassion for such situations in law, and that pushes people into such horrible situations.
I feel sorry for the daughter. I feel sorry for the dog. I feel sorry for the couple.

jumping off beachey head or wherever actually takes some guts seeing gun deaths account for 5 -6% of deaths in this country and there only a very small minority own guns .the death toll is high .
