The closest labour has ever come is with abacus... They've put Lammy on the front bench to confirm they've only picked him because of his colour, as we know he's as dumb as fuck, he hasn't a clue what's going on and it shows, fancy letting this numbskull buffoon as Foreign Secretary FFS .... how embarrassing for the people of the UK. When Cleverly was foreign secretary, he was good at it. Lammy's useless.

Agree, Lammy is in it for the money and power, he just sits there with a big grin on his face, he's getting fatter and fatter living High on the Hog, devouring Tomahawk steaks in one mouthful.

As a Labour Party supporter I do not "cheer lead for the Tories", but what I find very objectionable is the questioning of a leadership candidates ethnicity, colour or immigrant background.
As a Labour Party supporter I recognise that it was the Conservatives who gave us our very first female Prime Minister, and our very first Prime Minister of Asian origin.
and so the Tory war goes on, populists versus the more decent, traditional Conservatives, a hint of bigotry mixed with a touch of racism and half an ounce of xenophobia, wave the Union Flag and sing "Land Of Hope And Glory" that'll teach the foreigners.

As a Labour Party supporter I do not "cheer lead for the Tories", but what I find very objectionable is the questioning of a leadership candidates ethnicity, colour or immigrant background.... Why? It's perfectly reasonable to question a candidates background. Rayner makes much of her "Working class" roots, despite having never having done any real work. As, equally falsely, does Starmer despite his staunchly middle class upbringing. Their message being that they are "One of us". Whoever they consider the "Us" to be. Why is it therefore wrong to question the antecedents of a "Diverse" candidate? And who, by extension, is the "Us" that they (or want the rest of us to) consider themselves to be?

I'm afraid that this is just the same as every other thread in this forum. They don't like blacks and they don't like women. We've heard it all before. It isn't political discussion. It's just inane. So tell us when Labour had a 'woman' or 'black'/non-white leader?
Tories have had both.
My point was regarding the posters on this forum, not the politicians.

My point was regarding the posters on this forum, not the politicians. One minute we are told this an overwhelmingly Tory supporting forum - the next we are told that they wont vote for the most diverse set of senior politicians in Westminster. Can you lot get your story straight for once.
