What are they playing at?
I just caught news that we have Badenough in the lead, followed by professor Cleverly, and trailing in third place is an Englishman. Not only that but the last one, who suffered severe unpopularity, was an Indian. Ten years ago I would have excpected this sort of dunce behaviour from Labour, but the Tories are even worse. It's like the turkey's planning the christmas dinner. Immigration is sure to be a huge issue in the comming years. The largest rise was under Sunak who at the same time promised to reduce it. They are taking the piss.

James Cleverley was born in Lewisham to an English father and a mother from Sierra Leone, which at the time of his mothers birth was a British colony.
Kemi Badenoch was born in Wimbledon
Rishi Sunak was born in Southampton to parents who came here from British East Africa, part of a large number of Indians whom the British recruited to move to Kenya and Uganda to help run the Empire.
So whats your problem ?

Anyway, it is not my problem per se, it is their problem. I'm just astonished at their stupidity.

It isn't political discussion. It's just inane.

You would find that very unlikely, so the probability is they picked them on purpose to make a point.
But who the hell are they trying to prove this to?
Here we have them saying on the one hand they want to drasticlally cut immigration (10s of thousands was their promise) and so why would the electotate think a couple of second gneration immigrants are best placed ot fufuil this promise, and having had one achive record failure here, they look very much like they are going ot get another. I mean they need their heads looking at.
Another twist to this is current debate around whether Reform should merge with the Tories, or at least accept Tory polititicans int their party. Yeah right!

I doubt that the current Tory line up is the result of any recent deliberate wokery but it is the legacy of historic wokery resulting in the front runners now all being BAME and yes, it does look a tad contrived.
That said, by the time the next GE rolls around it is wildly unlikely that it will look anything like it does now.

What leads you to believe that the reason why people object to ethnic minorities and women taking control of political parties is because they don't like them? Do you rule out all other possible reasons?

Tories have had both.

That said, by the time the next GE rolls around it is wildly unlikely that it will look anything like it does now. It's all entirely in thier hands. I mean having seen this scenario apprroach where a new leader will be needed, they could have got their heads together and selected virtually any of their MPs just so long as the MP wanted to do it. If the right MP did not want to then we are still back to the point about the MPs being at fault now. I don't think the argument about ministerial expereicne holds much water. The idea is expereince would make them more capiable, but that argument get blown out of the water as soon as you notice Cleverly is a front runner. Competence is not the priority by far. Colour of skin and sex seem to be the main two criteria.

The closest labour has ever come is with abacus... They've put Lammy on the front bench to confirm they've only picked him because of his colour, as we know he's as dumb as fuck, he hasn't a clue what's going on and it shows, fancy letting this numbskull buffoon as Foreign Secretary FFS .... how embarrassing for the people of the UK.
