He was on about a wind turbine that snapped in half in a strong wind...The end result will be that the bloody wind turbine which is now junk will end up in a bloody landfill which future generations will have to deal with, So not so green after all is it?

Exactly, £20 million of tax payers money on the scrap heap. It's the same with solar panels mate when they go tits up or are blown off roofs they end up in a landfill as it is not cost effective to rycle them... |

I was reading about the guy who couldn't sell his dead mother's house because she had signed a contract with the solar energy company to lease them her roof for 25 years, she was 75 when she signed the contract which in 25 years would have made 100 FFS. Who the fuck is going to buy a house when they find out some one else owns the roof .... I almost feel like putting ...LOL... but I actually feel sorry for this family

We are going to have 6000 acres of solar panels imposed on farmland around here . That means 6000 acres of crops not being produced .
The authorities tell us that they will be paying us 11.5 million pounds but don’t tell us what for. The kicker is that it’s over …40 years ..
That will work out about roughly £1 each afaik.
It might be OK . There will be a few new footpaths , some biodiversity areas and some sheep roaming around the 3meter high solar panels .

Afaik that is a real problem. I suspect that quite a few solar panels are fitted on roofs that are old or dodgy too. |
