A victory for common sense.
They should now sue Williams and the IOPC.

White policeman accuses a black person of having a cannabis odour about them. Black person says "You're mistaking my natural body odour for cannabis". When THREE white policemen think they smell cannabis the innocent black person is in trouble.
White police need to be very carefully trained to distinguish between the natural odour of black people and cannabis.
Race and Smell ... "Each community possesses it's own peculiar smell".
East Asians' body odour is such that they are unlikely to be accused of using cannabis.
A Somali guy once said to me that he didn't like black Africans ..."Because they smell"

Dos Santos’s lawyer, Jules Carey of Bindmans LLP, said he was unsurprised it had been overturned. “It was irrational to say that some officers smelled cannabis and some did not,” he said. “The panel got itself into a complete mess as soon as they settled on the bizarre view that the streets of London smell of cannabis.”
The streets of many British towns and cities smell of cannabis. When I walk around my town most days I can smell cannabis ... the smell of cannabis can be detected 100 yards or so from it's source by someone familiar with it's odour. The houses in my street have large front gardens. I know which houses are occupied by cannabis smokers because when they have their windows open I can smell it. After the shops close several evening cafes in the High Street attract people who smoke cannabis. The moment I turn into the High Street I can smell the cannabis coming from the cafes a hundred yards up the street. Schoolkids gather in one of the town's parks and smoke cannabis ... it can be smelt by passers-by in the street outside the park. There's a beggar camped outside the entrance to Gloucester Bus Station ... she reeks of cannabis. When I was waiting to see my GP an elderly man sat next to me ... he smelt of cannabis.

Forum members who criticised the public for donating to the officers' crowdfund will be feeling pretty embarrassed that the appeal tribunal has now called for them to receive back-pay as well as being reinstated. ukpoliticsdebate.boards.net/thread/4584/crowdfund-raises-130k-fired-officersThe larger point here is of course whether the IOPC is fit for purpose, especially when called to adjudicate on ethnic complaints.

When they were stopped Dos Santos should have been charged with traffic/driving offences. I suspect both of them would have been arrested and charged if they were white.

The IOPC are certainly not independent - they are anti-police.
As are the CPS who even the useless Commissioner has criticised for prosecuting police officers where a member of the public would not be.
But then it's easier to attack the police than it is to deal with the real issues in society.

He said the IOPC are anti police and should be scrapped.

I think this is a good idea. I'm sure they will get a lot of support.

And that's difficult because it's contrary to the political narrative. So we have a whole raft of organisations (and a senior management) whose job is to pretend that the police are the problem. Because that's easy. Indeed, I have a theory that even if the whole of the Met were comprised of black lesbians we would still be told that the police are institutionally racist/misogynist etc. etc. Because that's always going to be easier than addressing the real problems in society.

Apparently the number of stop and search's in London has fallen off a cliff because police don't want to risk being accused of racism, suspended, investigated or even sacked. It's mad, in areas of high street crime stop and search should be the norm but thanks to stupid lefties and the IOPC, the police tend to look the other way. This may be something of a digression but I listened to a black woman on GB News this morning who insisted that publishing crime figures by ethnicity is racist, a view shared by most lefties. And the reason most lefties say it's racist to publish crime figures by ethnicity is because black and mixed ethnic groups have the highest arrest rates, but we're not supposed to mention it because thanks to political correctness and woke, telling the truth is now racist.

And who can blame them? If I were a cop these days I'd be incredibly leary of anything to do with black people. Far better to wait until someone is murdered and then deal with the aftermath than try to prevent it and end up the victim of a spurious race claim.

This is why ethnics cry racism when stopped by the police .It all becomes about the police and race when it should be about why they were stopped and if they have a crime to answer . If I recall they were stopped for bad driving ,maybe speeding ? Wheres the ticket for that , forgotten ? Good that the cops have been vindicated and got their jobs back ,not good that the law is an ass .
