Farage hasn't held a single constituency meeting since being elected. Proof? His own words. He initially claimed he was advised not to by the speaker's office, but has now backtracked on that claim. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-reform-security-concerns-b2625108.htmlFarage has held no local surgeries to date and has not yet set up an office in the constituency. Beyond a bald Clacton Reform email address (he also has a parliamentary profile page), he has published no specific guidance on how to get in touch on local matters, and some residents say they have tried repeatedly to reach him without success. But some of those affected by the 8 August fire are unimpressed with the MP’s response. The Guardian spoke to Claire Fitzpatrick, who along with her partner and five children was made homeless when the blaze engulfed her house. The family have been given emergency accommodation in a hotel in Clacton. Farage visited the scene several days after the fire, when by chance Fitzpatrick’s partner was there. She said the MP “shook his hand and said ‘I promise I will help’. We gave him my mobile number and we’ve heard nothing back from him. I emailed him and heard nothing.” “I have emailed him on both his addresses four times requesting confirmation of when he will hold a clinic in Clacton, so I can get an appointment to speak to him,” wrote one constituent in a letter to the Daily Mail. “I have not received even an automated reply.”

Civil Service forum filled with threats against Nigel Farage as users endorse assault An online forum for civil servants has seen verbal attacks on Nigel Farage, with one even joking they want him to experience a near-death experience
Why is no one in civil service being arrested and the ...... FULL FORCE OF THE LAW ... brought down on them.

It is about the worst thing you can do to treat the electorate with contempt, and to make matters worse he has been on three visits to the US which I understand were paid for by some US political people. Now the US is some 3000 miles away, which is a lot further than Brussels.

Pacifico If I understand the plan of the new Government, it will be to devolve power to elected Mayors, but almost exclusively only to the big urban areas. In other words, just as hiving off Scotland and Wales has consigned them to permanent Left Wing control, then all our Lefty cities will get a far greater degree of autonomy. The intention of course, being that even if some Tory Government should get elected to Westminster in future, it would only be a few Shires and farming villages that would have to take any notice of them ...... all the big important places would have Left Wing Governance baked in. But in any case, haven't we already witnessed the last ever Conservative Government ? It most certainly wasn't lost on Starmer what difference the Covid pandemic had on killing off a significant number of the elderly voters ..... and with them out of the way, he sees what the result is .... a huge Labour majority !. Why wouldn't he want more of the same to press home his advantage ? ....... 4 or 5 more years of no Winter Fuel allowance ....and the Tory chances will be dead and buried ...quite literally ...... then to make absolutely certain, give the vote to 16 and 17 year olds who have known nothing but Left Wing indoctrination from Guardian reading Labour/LibDem voting Teachers, from the moment they attend their 8am School breakfast clubs kindly financed by the State, to the time they get home to play computer games in the evening. Oh, and nearly forgot ..... another 4 years to import plenty of new Voters to bolster the Labour cause. Britain is definitely being transformed, permanently. Starmer cannot possibly, even for one so shortsighted as he, failed to notice the trend for immigrants illegal or otherwise, and children who will not pay a penny in direct taxation for many years thanks to the lack of any real future, or reward for ambition, to vote Labour. Wales has gone out of its way to build settlement camps in the few Tory voters areas that still need cost here so as to overwhelm them. And declared itself a nation of sanctuary. Right now, the only hope for the Tories in Wales is that the IDF will start bombing it to complete the genocide it's political masters in the Knesset demand. And given the example of non-intervention shown by the UK to Putin's acts against those distasteful to his regime what exactly would give their rabid nutters cause for concern when they start ?

How has life been transformed in any constituency since the election?. It certainly has not been in mine. Dying to know Baron.. Farage has got five years to turn Clacton around. Even before Farage decided to stand there, I did a little research and came across a YT video of a barber's shop. It went on for over half an hour of locals coming in and getting their hair cut and reporting what life was like. It made depressing viewing. The one that really stuck in my mind was someone who was seriously disabled, and he had nothing but a TV in a room to keep him company, and he comes in and says even that has been stolen now. The pure evil of someone to take away from someone like that is vile and falls well short of British values. You see Clacton has seen a lot of unwanted new arrivals. It's desperately poor and the Brits trying to survive there are at their wits end. You can understand why they voted Reform. The previous Tory in Clacton had clearly done FA to improve things.
Now Reform as a party is well funded and has the resources to figure out what to do. The first thing is to listen to your constituents. Get really close to them and find out the truth about the area. Then Reform need to work with the local council to hatch a plan to fix all of these problems. If they can do that then people will see the difference and then everyone will want a Reform MP. You get the idea. That's the intelligent thing to do. The stupid thing is to announce you are too scared to even meet these people, which is the current state of play. The rumours could well be true. I was wondering if anyone else has picked up any reports on the goings on there regarding political representation.
A number of issues there.... Reform was created as a political wing of a limited company. This was done to give Farage absolute control over whoever was nominated to stand for office, to avoid previous fusterclucks where the left enjoyed pointing out the chap strolling along I think it was Clacton pier ith Farage, who was standing somewhere (NOT Clacton I think) as the UKIP Candidate was formerly an officer in the National Front who joined UKIP after leaving the BNP Farage was left to explain that although the rules did not allow current or former BNP members to join UKIP, this chap had joined prior to that rule change. The problem was clearly not lost on him when he created The Brexit Party in this format and changing the name had no impact on that. True, he appointed a chap with a very UN English name to take over and turn the company and its peculiar management structure that allowed anyone to give it money, but nobody to be allowed a voice, into a political party along traditional lines, but that doesn't really addtess the financial side It will be interesting to see how the party pans out over the next few years

What power has any MP got to turn around their local area?. They have no power over planning, taxation, regulation or even when the bins get emptied. What exactly do you expect an MP to do? I think you're asking the wrong question The issue is not what power they have but what inclination do the government in power have lest the locals throw them into the gutter When the European Parliamentary Elections returned two BNP members to Brussels because electoral engagement with Blair had fallen to a record new low of 13.9% in places, Gordon Brown started reciting the BNP mantra of providing British Jobs for British workers thinking the electorate were too thick to know the EU freedom of movement claptrap, which he and his predecessor abused to fill this country with aliens, absolutely banned that sort of rhetoric never mind implementation thereof. But Phil Woolas their then immigration minister did a total U Turn and started claiming immigrants from outside the EU arriving here claiming asylum should do so where they arrived So it is clear the only impact that any MP can have is limited to what they can arrange to support and publicise the case for others, not yet MPs, to become MPs through displacement of current ones. The only hope for the country now is the 2026 Welsh Assembly Elections. The Labour party has held sway in Wales ever since another Kier was around, and the treatment of the voters here by the Tories since the days of Robert Peel is the reason. Starmer's antics to date are, to be frank, less than useful as a means of retaining that support. Yes Labour won around here The interesting point is who came second, and what will happen in two years time. Electricity bills rose by ten per cent last week. That'll please those who voted labour and lost the winter fuel allowance because their pensions were £3 a week too much won't it.
