www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0e1q5w0q9poIt seems the political appointee to the Lord's is abandoning the party that put her there saying, incredibly, they have moved to the far right I think since she no longer holds the party whip of the party that put her there, she should be chucked on the street

Warsi has never forgiven the Tories for not adopting the APPG definition of "islamophobia", which basically makes criticism of Islam a racist crime. Hard luck. She should never have been given a seat in the Lords. Her only activity is agitating on behalf of militant muslims anyway. She basically thinks muslim terrorism is justified and she has written books to this effect.

She is actually one of the few Tories I actually respect. Probably because she's not far right. She does seem to have been fighting quite a battle in the last few years.

She rides the opportunities of racism and Islamophobia with determination and hypocrisy. That is possibly why she appeals to the left.

Agreed, she is now a fully exposed disgraced twisted fraudulant parasite. It's about time.

I'm not convinced of either of these views.

You mean she tries to fight racism, but was fighting a losing battle? Yes, possibly. I've always found her a reasoned person though, regardless of race or religion. Unfortunately there's too many people can't see past that.

Probably because she's not actually a Tory. I’ve actually met her some years ago. I thought she was bright and pleasant person and I’ve come to the same opinion as she has. I, like her, supported a Tory party that aimed to make the county better for its inhabitants and increase opportunities for all. It also wanted to get on with its neighbours and be part of the outside world. But over the last decade, the party has become a collection of cronying opportunist populists, typical shortcomings of which are being uncovered as the current Covid inquiry progresses…

Sorry Andrew are you actually saying the majority of the tory party is far right because that’s implied Well, let me rephrase it. People with more centrist views are being pushed out of the Tory Party. And to be fair there's quite a lot of posters on this forum who support exactly that.
