Donald Trump pushing to 'VETO Keir Starmer's Chagos Islands deal' as President-elect's stance revealed
Donald Trump is looking to veto Labour's Chagos Islands surrender deal in a fresh blow to Sir Keir Starmer's foreign ambitions.
The giveaway had been endorsed by Joe Biden - but in light of Trump's blowout victory last week, the President-elect is understood to be taking legal advice from the Pentagon on how to kill it off.
www.gbnews.com/politics/donald-trump-chagos-islands-veto-keir-starmer-deal-president-elect Brilliant. It was never in doubt, Trump wont allow anyone to threaten Diego Garcia. not just that though , maybe payback time for starmer and all the things he and his party said about trump . Public slap down , public humiliation , letting starmer know who the boss is . Funny as fuck. keir starmer ......the Donalds patsy...........

Limp wristed left wing rubbish. It's nothing more than the continuation of the trendy woke attack on anything British. Here's a prediction, Trump will stop Starmer giving the Chagos Islands away. Try posting an intelligent post. See my edited included information in my pervious post. try reading up on the subject rather than posting left wing claptrap and Labour Party press releases. starmer didn't consult the chaggossians , and didnt ask if they wanted to come under Mauritius rule , which they dont. As ever , labour attempt to do something and fall flat on their arses.

AIUI The Islands were gaining favour for the return of their Island. It was a case of possibly losing the Island and the American base, or return the Islands in return for a 99 year lease on the American base. "The maritime law tribunal of the United Nations has ruled that Britain has no sovereignty over the Chagos Islands and the American base, It criticised London for its failure to hand the territory back to Mauritius. The judges' decision confirms a ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and a vote in the UN General Assembly. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-55848126You may be unaware, of most things lol, but seriously. And that the looming fate ahead was that the West could lose the Islands, American base and all, with the option being a 99 year agreement for the existence of the base to continue. As ever you try to do something and fall flat on your arse.

Mauritius has no authority over the islands either according to the natives , but as usual , a quick backhander to keir starmer , and hey presto , Mauritius are being handed control . do try raise your game , improve what little intellect you hopefully have , and do some research from various sources rather than regurgitating Labour Party press releases. We can go straight to the red organ grinder if we want to , we dont need the monkey to inform us.

didint i also read somewhere that Mauritius chief legal advisor is one of slimy keir starmers mates? wonder what backhanders starmer got there? That argument is between Mauritius that claims ownership of the Islands and those who claim they want ownership. That's a bit of history I suspect very few on here are aware of. Slimy Rightists will always work against honesty and openness, just ask slimy Trump.

Typical lefty . Ignore the natives , and after trousering a brown envelope , do the wrong thing to worldwide disapproval. the American president apparently is going to "veto " your dear leaders betrayal of the chagossian natives , and no doubt earn further world wide support and commendation for standing up to the slime ridden lefties in the labour party. I always say with labour , its not the fact you have been bought , but its how cheaply you are bought.

The salaries ,pay offs and pensions of Council executives is unsustainable ,it needs a thorough overhaul.Front line services are cut ,executive pay etc rises . Another Labour tax rise: Families face £110 council tax hike as No10 gives green light for 5% cap next year.... Households could face a £110 council tax hike next year after Downing Street signalled the cap will be 5 per cent. The PM's press secretary said the limit 'isn't changing' despite now being nearly three times the level of inflation. The stance emerged after Keir Starmer was accused of plotting even bigger increases during bad-tempered PMQs clashes. Currently local authorities are obliged to hold a referendum for rises of 5 per cent or above. But Opposition leader Kemi Badenoch warned that the national insurance hike in the Budget would drive up costs for town halls in areas such as care services. The Tories claimed there is a £2.4billion black hole in the finances for local government that would need to be filled with higher taxes. The party has calculated that would amount to a 6.6 per cent rise across the board, roughly £143 extra on a Band D property. Watched the Politics show today and a bit argumentative because Lowe was there from Respect he jumped on $100m spent on translation services as an example of waste in the NHS system.
Another chap said £100m was wasted on a tunnel for H2N to protect the bats in a neighbouring wood and he also said there was much more examples like this meaning we spend much more on big capital projects than comparable EU countries.
ED Davey challenged Starmer to make a strong commitment on supporting Ukraine and Starmer said he is in consultations to decide next steps, think Russia hit more NATO assets last night outside Ukraine so they don't want nuclear war so believe there will be a deal details to follow perhaps after talks with Trump.
Some day soon perhaps even after Trumps inauguration we might get more insight into what is really going on or has happened.
