Mortgage markets have started reacting to budget - with product withdrawals and rate hikes I mentioned elswhere that the OBR said that as a result of the budget, interest rates will be higher for longer. These are the first steps of an economic downturn. Thanks to this inexperienced socialist government we are approaching the edge of an economic precipice, I hope Labour voters are pleased with themselves. Dickheads. When Labour under Blair the warmonger won the election Labour the Treasury Coffers were full, Labour soon emptied them , when Blair legged it and passed Gormless Gordon a poisoned chalice he sold off a chuck of the nations Gold Reserve because of serious overspending , and the daft idiot broadcast what he was going to do before he did it, the price of Gold dropped. When Labour were voted out the Treasury Coffers were empty, remember the note left by Labour we have spent the lot, that to me showed how nasty they are with no thought for the people of the UK, what an infantile thing to do, hence the years of austerity which Labour whined about constantly trying to shift the blame of their stupidity, then Covid arrived billions spent and borrowed. Now the Labour have hit the people with increased taxation they want 40 Billion , well as fast as they take it much of that will be spent on those who have invaded the UK Unlawfully , I read the other day that the majority of people sleeping on London's Streets are British not from overseas, many who have been on social housing waiting lists for 10 years or more and IMHO will be at the back of the queue. I am very concerned for the future of our children, grandkids and good friends back in the UK and of course England,

Starmer made a decent point about Rishi the other day in parliament and for me the first good thing for me he has said.
Thinking on the budget Labour after giving some big increases to workers traditionally in the big Unions and then hiking employers NIS and capital gains tax is going to give them a lot of private money earned to invest.
Where they spend this can help stimulate the economy if the recipients go and out and spend.
The down side is how many jobs are shed or salaries slashed to keep costs down in SMEs on the latter point they seem barely to have recovered from COV-ID lockdowns.

Oh god, I can't stand those AI voice videos. We knew a year ago that he lied through his teeth and cheated his way to the Labour Leadership. However, that is lies to his own party members, so it is up to them to hold him to account. Personally I think the plan was to oust him within 12 months and put Raynor on the throne, unfortunately she is really struggling now the scrutiny is on Labour. Who does that leave? Maybe Yvette Cooper, Wes Streeting or Darren Jones?

So Trump winning can't inspire Starmer with much happiness a bit like Boris having Sleepy Joe or Bidenenko as an ally for so long.
Farmers considering a protest as inheritance tax changes will make medium size farms unworkable.

Starmer called for an export ban on police gear to Trump during the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020..... The diplomatic nightmare presented to Sir Keir Starmer by Donald Trump's victory deepened last night when it emerged that he called for an export ban on Trump's America after he became Labour leader. Sir Keir – who insists that he 'looks forward' to working with the US President-elect – made his demand in a letter to Boris Johnson in 2020, after the death of George Floyd at the hands of US police triggered the Black Lives Matter protests. It is one of a series of embarrassing remarks made by the Prime Minister and his senior ministers which have emerged in the wake of Trump's landslide win. In the letter, sent to the then-Prime Minister Johnson on June 4, 2020, Sir Keir said Floyd's death had 'shone a spotlight on the racism, discrimination and injustice experienced by those from black and ethnic minority communities in the US'. He asked: 'What review is the Government conducting to ensure UK exports are not being used in the suppression of democratic rights?'..... www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14063485/keir-starmer-donald-trump-black-lives-matter-export-ban.html
