Anger as Labour 'points finger at very wealthy pensioners' for winter fuel payment chop Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said: 'I think most people will accept that the very wealthiest shouldn't be in receipt of a free allowance'
A Labour frontbencher has been accused of "pointing the finger" at wealthy pensioners amid the ongoing row over cutting winter fuel payments.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy appeared on BBC Breakfast today and was asked about the controversial decision to take the £300 cash boost away from about 10million state pensioners.
Dopey dim Nandy along with rest of the dimwit Labour party are absolutely clueless ....... FFS someone stop this... we want to get off.

Labour will make sure by the next General Election there will be far more poor pensioners. It has been brewing for a while, it is the evil baby boomers taking it all and stopping others from getting on the ladder or getting the living they got. Nothing to do with ten million extra people since 1997, nothing to do with NL flooding the jobs market with new arrivals, nothing to do with the EU or freedom of movement, nothing to do with the cult-like seeking of the net zero God it is all the fault of the baby boomers and their greed. It was a softening up process to create a class ripe for milking as having too much ill gotten gains and were being spoilt by the State. It is a surprise they have gone so far and so fast that savings seem like a target in the budget

It was a softening up process to create a class ripe for milking as having too much ill gotten gains and were being spoilt by the State. It is a surprise they have gone so far and so fast that savings seem like a target in the budget Labour are targeting pensioners because they were thrifty, and anyone thrifty with their money doesn't vote Labour, they need to stop the next breed of thrifty pensioners by raising the pension age and punishing thrifty pension savers, what they don't realise that one day every single person on the planet will be a old age pensioner, so it's in the interest of everyone from the cradle to the grave to make sure they have a good pension pot ........ Stupid Labour.

Simple. Old people don’t pay union fees. The unions are running the country now. Fact. They would rather cripple the country financially to give massive pay rises to union members.......Only a 2% swing away from Labour will see them lose their majority, in five years time that swing will be way into double figures, unfortunately that's how long we have to wait.......We all know it is a race to the bottom when labour are in...... Andrew Neil has summbed it up in a nutshell in the DM... In a few short weeks, Labour has become synonymous with in-fighting, cronyism and freeloading. I can't think of any government that has slurped down the drain so quickly..... When a prime minister is forced to assert publicly 'I'm in charge', it's usually during a bout of mid-term blues, when the government has started to fall apart — or at least crumble at the edges. So when Keir Starmer, who hasn't been in power for three months, resorts to claiming, 'I'm completely in control', we can be sure his government is already in serious trouble. The rapid descent of Labour from its historic landslide victory on July 4 is a wonder to behold. I can't think of any previous government, elected with such a huge majority, that has slurped down the drain so quickly. The Starmer honeymoon passed in the twinkling of an eye, with barely time to open the champagne. When Tony Blair was elected by a landslide in 1997, his honeymoon was still going pretty strong four years later, when he won by another landslide. As the scale of its current majority unfolded in the early hours of July 5, Labour could have been forgiven for thinking that it, too, could count on at least two terms. That's already far from guaranteed. www.dailymail.co.uk/columnists/article-13875107/Labour-government-drain-ANDREW-NEIL-infighting-cronyism-freeloading.html

Starmer is a bloody disgrace and a embarrasement for this country. His only excuse is to blame the tories and even that now is only paper thin with the electorate and some labour members. I think the arsehole will require a suit of armour at the labour conference. Never has any PM in the UK fallen from grace so quickly and become an object of hatred and riddicule.....

We predicted this, but I don't think we anticipated the speed in which it would happen, it's jaw dropping why Starmer/Reeves have a crusade against pensioners ... WTF have pensioners done to Starmer and Reeves to make them hate pensioners so much ... are they suffering from ... pensionerphonbia.
I'm not even going to deny I can shoulder any tax hikes or punishment Labour throw at me, my shoulder are wide enough ... but FFS leave pensioners alone ... I'll be prepared to shoulder more taxes to reinstate pensioners winter fuel allowance ....... just give me a option and I'll tick the box.
