TBH in the current climate I'm more surprised that they didn't arrest anyone with a Cross of St.George as they are clearly 'Far Right Extremists'
Banned of Hope and Glory! EUSSR flags are confiscated from Last Night of the Proms concert-goers under strict rules banning 'protest or hatred' after pro-Europe demo outside the venue........

Quite right too. The Proms, particularly the last night, is a British tradition and nothing to do with the EU. People who wave that flag anywhere, let alone at the proms, are nothing more than left wing malcontents who in my sincere opinion should put their money where their mouth is, and bugger off to their beloved EU.

There should be no flags banned at any public gathering unless it is the flag of a terrorist organisation or a subversive organisation.
In the past we saw flags of many different nations at The Last Night Of The Proms, including the European flag.
The flag as used by the European Union is in fact the flag of The European Council, of which the UK is not only a member, but a founding member under Sir Winston Churchill.
It makes us more like North Korea or Russia "dont mention the war"

Winston Churchill was a strong advocate for European integration, but he didn't want Britain to be a part of it. Churchill was one of the first to call for a United States of Europe, and he believed it was necessary to prevent future world wars. winstonchurchill.hillsdale.edu/churchills-last-stand-united-europe-klos/

Imagine if we turned up at some wokie left EU event waving our Union Jacks, we'd be kicked out before we got our foot through the door. I often wonder why people come out with shite like this The Union Flag ( not the Union Jack ) is the national flag of the UK, it is not owned by "The Right", though many on the Right think they own it, it is everyones flag, for all British people regardless of politics or anything else. The Right have for decades attempted to weaponise our national flag, and in recent years they have attempted to do the same with "The Poppy" a simple emblem of remembrance. Banning legitimate flags is like banning books, or banning thought and opinion, it happens in North Korea and Russia, and at the last night of the proms.

The Last Night used to be a party and piss up which attracted people from around the globe - hence the flags of other countries. Now it has been hijacked by an organised political protest by a bunch of sad people who cannot accept that in a Democracy sometimes you lose.

Funny how none of them were arrested tho Red for waving their blue and gold arsewipes. In recent years it has become trendy for lefties to demonise anyone who waves a Union Jack or England flag as 'far right', and that was under a supposed conservative government. After five years of this authoritarian pro minority left wing government, I dread to think how much worse things may become. Well my flag is up there fluttering in the breeze, and it will be a brave, or possibly stupid man, who tells me to take it down.

The Union Flag and England flag have been used by the populist right to demonize those who are not of the populist right, by attempting to portray them as been unpatriotic, and by foolishly suggesting that people who vote Labour are somehow opposed to the Union Flag. The founder of The Labour Party whom the Prime Minister is named after had a Union Flag in his living room, maybe the reason why the Prime Minister is rarely ever seen without a Union Flag by his side.

Did you notice that prior to left wing malcontents waving the EU flag there was never an issue with people waving any flag at the proms. It has however become a big issue in very recent years because pro EU lefties have intentionally organised to flood the hall with EU flags, which is quite rightly why they have been banned and long may that continue. The EU flag represents no country, it represents a divisive enforced political union which no one voted for, governed by an unelected executive and an unelected president all of whom are completely insulated from any electoral scrutiny, much like the politburo. That piece of blue rag has absolutely no place in any democracy, let alone in this non EU country. Of course things are likely to change over the next few years, if briefly.

Nope. The union flag and the England flag have been accused as symbols of little Englanders and right wing extremists by lefties for years . His lefties twist the truth . ”ROCHESTER England (Reuters) - Posting a picture on Twitter of a two-storey house, displaying three English flags of St. George and with a white tradesman's van outside might seem innocuous to a foreign eye. When a British politician appeared to sneer at the modest Rochester home of a 'white van' voter, she was vilified as a member of an arrogant London elite. Translation: White van = working class. English flags = right-wing working class feeling insecure about immigration in an England that no longer exists. The timing - coinciding with a local election that delivered victory to an anti-EU, anti-immigration party - was disastrous. Within 7 hours of posting the photograph, opposition Labour lawmaker Emily Thornberry had resigned as the opposition's chief spokeswoman on legal matters. www.reuters.com/article/world/in-class-obsessed-britain-tweet-of-white-van-man-hits-nerve-idUSKCN0J514U/
