Because it wasn’t enough for many of them ? What is it 225 a week for pensioners on state pension And a freebe 300 thats 3,300 a month and you try and tell me they cant afford heating. The real problem is badly insulated homes. AND damp condition. Nothing to do with not able to afford it. You think the government pay old age pensioners £3,300 a month! LOL. TTL, I'm sure there's bin somewhere in your house, be a good lad, get in it. |

If a pensioner is getting £900 per month , they are hardly going to be able to afford the cost of insulation and damp proofing . Its free insulation Einstein. There been a Government backed programme for years |

Why when it comes to 'benefit fiddling', which receiving the winter fuel payment is not the left are up in arms, yet the whole clans living on benefits claiming all sorts of things are only claiming what they are entitled to. If you break rotten eggs you get a pretty minging omelette. So getting winter payments while living abroad isn't fraudulent in your book? Surely if its cold that is the whole point of the WFP - it suddenly doesn't become tropical in December in Norway or Sweden |

Even if you were correct , it would not end up £3300. “If you were born before 23 September 1958 you could get either £200 or £300 to help you pay your heating bills for winter 2024 to 2025. I'm 61 red in October. Yes i know oldage are subtle to Hyprophinia and influencer So are the very young Children. But no shouting from the rooftops for young families Young families, my kids are all in their 30's and in spite of the crap start in life they had thanks in no small part to me being in ther army, they are all doing very well now. I'm proud of them, even my lefty daughter who is a director of a PR company and earning more money than I ever thought one of my kids would ever earn. They are all doing very nicely now because they got off their arses and worked hard. |
