So long as somebody perceives it then it is racist. Guilty until proven innocent, at least on social and media circles, which is where lives are destroyed. Absurd as it sounds, this is a standard that is commonly employed. If the victim feels that particular comments or interaction were a transgression, then they are, by definition, a transgression. The introduction of this Mad Hatter standard was imho a reaction to the very real definition problem. Of course, it just intensifies the absurdity It's enough to investigate and arrest somebody. The police will most likely favour the accusation over the possibility of a false allegation. A conviction makes them look good on The Guardian and avoids further allegations of institutional racism.

Yes, all sorts of allegations are made on social and media outlets which cannot be proved or just malicious which has a very negative impact on many people It's the modern inquisition.

It's the modern inquisition. Indeed. The parallels are striking. You can't rely on your own judgment to identify a witch, a specialist expert is required and this expert will tell you when he detects witchery Bear in mind those adjacent to the witch, those who attempt to question the methods of the witchfinder or who attempt to defend the witch from an allegation, will also need to have their affairs thoroughly examined for witchery.People are no cleverer now than they were then.

And a refusal to be believe in the redemptive powers of multiculturalism is the present-day analogue of medieval heresy.

The record will show that, when asked to accept the divine mandate of these proceedings and the redemptive love and judgment of our lord, the defendant visibly hesitated.
Such hesitation is very interesting indeed

I have clearly stated its intent that matters. If someone's intent is innocent a few questions quickly establish this. Does that really help when the concept itself is vague? Someone might claim that trying to evaluate where a person 'came from' is racist. Can you prove them wrong? Yes. I could demonstrate that such an action caused no harm. If they were to claim people from said place were bad for the UK, that would take a lot more justification.

Yes. I could demonstrate that such an action caused no harm. You feel confident you can show the absence of any harm? Please take the floor and I will play devil's advocate. Perhaps we could start by defining harm rigorously?

It is rather hard to see how anything that this rather harmless octogenarian might have said to this woman, who we are starting to learn is a race baiter, could have gone well. Had she asked where she goes on holiday or what she had for breakfast then this too could be construed as racism using the new 21st century twisted BLM logic.
In future it might be best for representatives of Royalty to stick to football or the cheapest local MOT centre when trying to be courteous to a certain type of guest.

Perhaps we could start by defining harm rigorously? Like most crime the vast majority is pretty easy to identify. Some requires a court to decide on evidence and some just a warning to prevent accidental repeats. By example: Throw rubbish out of your car window, clearly a crime. Flicking a cigarette butt out of your window, probably just a warning. Being the passenger in a van while the driver empties the contents of the back on the road, a court case. Harm would be defined as likely to cause physical or economic harm to the person or persons concerned.

You will find me tackling spurious racist claims all over this site. And I say this Lady was targeted by this black women who was looking for a reason to be insulted and display her woke credentials. She could have easily just answered the old lady or even explained why she found the question insulting. That there was clearly no intent to harm is obvious to me. That a person should lose their position and standing from such a minor infringement of manners is disgusting. All I can say is watch out. If you tolerate this you may well be next. If you say the conversation was recored then yes it , inckudes you sorry to say .

So someone born in north London culturally appropriates the name and dress of a person from Africa - so is cultural appropriation OK or not? Why was she dressed like someone from Africa she whore a leopard print dress.

Perhaps it's best if no one speaks to anyone of an apparently different ethnicity. Less chance of a misunderstanding then. Towards that end, perhaps we could divide society into groups each with their own shops, places of education, worship etc. with intermingling prohibited. Because that's always worked so well in the past hasn't it?
