Because nobody mentioned it before and this is the first I'm hearing of it. They're violent lawless scum and need to be locked up ASAP. But they are not despite attacking cars and individuals. This is the point the police were no where to be seen to as they knew they would inflame the situation if they turned up and it would become a riot if they tried to take control. In other word they gave in. So these aren't ordinary people with legitimate concerns then?

This group attacked cars and individuals and at thet point they ceased to be in your parlance ordinary people with ordinary concerns they became violent thugs. The protest outside asylum hotels have for years been generally peaceful they gathered on the roadways but did not significantly impede local traffic or even attack local traffic. These 'defenders of the mosque' were rampaging about in cars and bikes intimidating locals driving through and making a significant nuisance of themselves all in the hour by hour absence of the police. I have not mentioned the pub yet.

Well as I understand it they weren't policed differently from the far right rioters, there weren't any police there. Perhaps because it wasn't a pre planned "protest"?

It beggars belief that Starmer is rattling the cage of Elon Musk, any leader especially a British one has to keep on the right side of Billionaires who control social media platforms. That's how arrogant and out of touch Starmer is, he truly believes that what he says goes, you can see he doesn't want to listen to anyone who isn't on his page. Starmer's solution to the problem is gag anyone who doesn't agree with him, I gave him a year before a vote of no confidence in his party, I'm not sure he's going to make 6 months, they need a leader who Listens to the people they serve.

Perhaps because it wasn't a pre planned "protest"? They were not policed at all despite being an unruly mob for several hours attacking reporters and local traffic as well as committing numerous traffic offences. Is it only pre-planned protests that are attended by police. Do they just ignore a mob attacking individuals in a pub.

Starmer thinks he can control freedom of speech that he doesn't like, he silences them with the courts like Tommy Robinson, well I've got news for Starmer, if he wants to silence Elon Musk he best have deep pockets and good lawyers, because Musk has the best money can buy, and Musk does not like people being gagged, that's why he reinstated Trump's account and many others that the lefties had closed down on Twitter.

He will be off kowtowing to all sorts in Davos in the near future many of whom have no democratic mandate at all but still catch the receptive ear of our 'representative'. The most powerful man of the British people should have no other considerations other than that that directly affects the British people and their wellbeing.

It appears that like most people Musk says he believes in free speech for everyone but actually only believes in free speech for everyone who agrees with him: "Why is @elonmusk silent on Saudi man sentenced to DEATH for his Tweets by X’s second largest owner?" x.com/sarahleah1/status/1697508985702637934?t=RVo-E5QTSgl76X79gdK5lA&s=19

In other word they gave in. apparently they smashed up cars , and jess Philips was trying to justify thuggery intimidation and threats by asian gangs while screaming racist at white folk if they do similar. not a great look by the labour government and their politicians . Four weeks in , and a break down of law and order ensues under labour. Weak on crime ,weak on the causes of crime , and incapable of dealing with the publics concerns.
Why am I not surprised? Your rabid approach to this Labour government is premature, but only to be expected by the totally biased who just can't wait to throw mud at Labour. The only thing I'm not surprised by is the depth of your political bias.

You cannot encourage people to see themselves as racial beings and be surprised when sections of the white majority begin to see themselves as racial beings. At the very least, elite identitarianism – with its crusades against whiteness and white privilege – has been a recruiting sergeant for a white-identitarian backlash.Tom Slater Tom is obviously a very sad opinionated individual.

IIRC no one has said they are hypocrites. What I have said is they clearly are not remotely interested in protecting children - there were children in the Asylum Hostel after all. So once you've taken away the rather obvious lie that is claimed to be the reason behind their actions what is left? 1) A desire to use anything at all as an excuse to kick off, have a riot, do a bit of looting - in which case they are criminal scum, and need locking up ASAP. 2) A desire to use anything at all to try and justify attacks on people based on nothing more than the colour of their skin - in which case they are racist criminal scum and need locking up ASAP. Because NO ONE in that Asylum Hostel was even remotely involved in the Southport Stabbing. Punishing people for something they didn't do is entirely antithetical to British values - it defies the core principle of innocent until proven guilty. Punishing a group of people because they are "guilty by association" because of something like race or religion not only defies "innocent until proven guilty" but is, de jure, a crime against humanity. There is no way that these thugs come out of this looking like anything other than Criminal Scum, that is the very best they can hope for; next best option in Racist Criminal Scum, and after that we have Terrorist Organisation Involved In Crimes Against Humanity. Is there anybody here who genuinely thinks that anyone who really cares about "British Cultural Values" could find that in anyway at all defensible? All The Best Actually if you look at many of the demonstrations outside Asylum Hotels many of the signs say save our children. At Aldershot the police confirmed it was only a very small minority of 200 people who were involved in the disturbance but all are now lumped in with that group of seven. The opportunity to tar all demonstrators has been jumped on with alacrity by government as it is a false message but one that people can be demonised with and all legitimate claims denounced as racist and bigoted and thuggish and here we see it in this post. Response to Emboldened BitYes, but that is smoke screen, they don't mean it - it is there to fool useful idiots and give material to the enablers and supporters of such violence. How do I know that. The Asylum Hotels have CHILDREN in them. I know you done some rather impressive, but futile, mental gymnastics to try and explain why this isn't just racist thigs looking for any excuse to "blame the darkies" when it so obviously is exactly that, but lets see how you manage this. How do these rent-a-thugs go about trying to "save our children" by attacking hotels in which children are staying, and are frightened because of those same rent-a-thugs? There's only one way - but I'll let you fall into that trap on your own. Response to Italicised BitOnly a tiny percentage of migrants have been engaged in Child Abuse Gangs, but now these rent-a-thugs have lumped every migrant in the country, including children, together and want to burn them alive in their hotels. Can you not see the rank hypocrisy there? Or do you just ignore it because the victims in the Asylum Hotels are brown? All The Best

Well of course you haven't. 85% of the forum membership is far-right racists circle-jerking one another about how offensive they can be. All The Best All I’ll say is a moderators lot is like a coppers lot in the present situation not a happy one. A forum is like a pub,it has its regulars if you don’t like the atmosphere you can complain to the landlord find another pub or open your own. N'ah, that just lets the regulars bask in their fascism and racism unopposed, and they'll start to think it is OK to be such; British Culture is built on standing up to fascists and racists. So I'll do that, and the moment I see a post that goes properly over the line I'll know there is no point informing the Mods here, as they are enablers of it, I'll just go straight to Pro-Boards and the Police as any law-abiding British Citizen would. All The Best
