Starmer just plays the same point scoring games as any experienced politician these days. Practised and polished beforehand in front of a bunch of image consultants armed with think tank reports and public consultation polls. Sunnak is exactly the same, more fake than Katie Price's tits. At least with Blackford I got the sense he actually believed the things he was saying whether I agree with him or not (not mostly). But like I say, I don't watch it very often these days and he could easily be just as phoney as the others for all I know. PMQ's can be fun if the speakers are witty. I seem to remember a few people who were good at the despatch box, William Hague was often entertaining, as was Geoffrey Cox, Cameron wasn't bad and Peter Bone had his moments from the back benches. Offhand I cant think of an entreating Labour speaker, Dennis Skinner was always good value, not from the despatch box of course. Much as I came to loathe her the Lactose Larcenist was a master of the game. Her final performance as she looked around the house proclaiming ''I'm rather enjoying this'' was superb.

I dare not speak her name. Especially after I just lavished praise on her. You might get the wrong idea about me Red.

He's been a poor performer compared to his predecessor (Angus Robertson). He won't be missed Blackford would wipe the floor with the mealy mouthed Robertson (who was my MP) I doubt Blackford could wipe the floor even if given a mop and pail. He's so obvious and never gets support wider than the SNP and very rarely puts his oppoents on the ropes. Robertson was a player

I coined the name myself so it isn't surprising you haven't heard it before. There's only so many times you can say milk snatcher before it gets tedious.

Blackford would wipe the floor with the mealy mouthed Robertson (who was my MP) I doubt Blackford could wipe the floor even if given a mop and pail. He's so obvious and never gets support wider than the SNP and very rarely puts his oppoents on the ropes. Robertson was a player Blackford always asked pertinent questions. All the PMs ignored the questions and went off on one. The thing that annoys me about the whole sham that is PMQs is that the PM always has the last word. There is no comeback to the usually irrelevant point scoring response. As for no support other than his own MPs, that has been the case since Winnie Ewing was elected. She was shouted down and abused because of the party she represented. Time has not improved matters. The only difference is that Blackford has (had) 40 odd people rooting for him Robertson was nothing of the kind!

It is an internal SNP matter! As far as I'm concerned, it's Jockense politics which is why I put it in the Jockense politics forum. I do concede however that as far as I'm concerned, it's an utterly unimportant issue to me. In fact, I'm struggling to think of an issue that is less important. It is an internal SNP problem so it should be in the correct forum. It says a lot that you fail to understand that. As for your boredom with SNP politics wtf start a thread about an SNP politician.

I have to say that whilst Blackford came across as a buffoon whenever he spoke in the Commons when he wasn't trying to be a great orator he made a lot more sense. I listened to him in a one to one interview on Radio 4 the other week and it was like listening to a different bloke - the pompous ass we hear in the Commons was totally replaced by a thoughtful considered politician.
So perhaps he has realised the limits of his ability - the peter principle writ large?

Morayloon, ask an adult to read this to you, slowly: I put the thread in the Scottish forum because it's a story about a Scottish politician. Now, if you still don't understand, and I concede you might not, put that bucket of Heavy down, go to the courtyard at the back of your tenement and put your head under the communal tap.

The rabid frothing masses in Holyrood feel that he has "gone native", he is not shrill or unpleasant enough to be their leader, the SNP will no doubt elect someone with massive character flaws who is always incandescent with rage over not very much. Roll on separation. Yep the Tory's rabid frothing masses are going to regret it. Blackford was to much of a gentlemen. They out and out lies are now going to be pointed out. So your problem with him being.

A great pity. His comedy turns on the floor of the House will be sadly missed. Especially when he does them in a skirt. What did you want him to do it in. Hanging from a maypole with bells on his knees waving hankies like a prick. A skirt Te he.
